When you get an email saying new selections have arrived, you just have to check it out, right? Well, I did and put my first order in for next season. But first, I did go through all my seeds as I was searching the site to make sure, I didn't order what I already had. The two packets above were compliments of the company for the order.
I finally ordered some Feverfew seeds as I have only ever grown Chamomile in the past. Then I saw the Flowering Tobacco and thought the hummingbirds would enjoy them in the butterfly garden. They will be far enough away from the tomato plants so that won't be an issue with tobacco virus.
I like growing the Japanese Daikon Radish to use in my Kimchi. The Chinese cabbage and the Radish usually mature about the same time.
This is the first time growing Paprika for me, I chose the hot variety. I have to search if there are sweet Paprika seeds as well. I would prefer to make my own powder next year.
A few years back, I tried growing leeks but was not too successful, so I ordered some new seed and will give it another go around. Another seed, the Walla Walla Onions did poorly for me two years in a row. I will give it one more try next spring and if they do poorly, that will be it for me.
Next, I found the Jersey Melon and thought if I can grow pumpkins, I should be able to get a few Muskmelons too. I ran out of Golden Bush Beans, so I added that to the list.
I don't think I will need any other seeds for the 2026 season, but if I find something interesting, well, you know how that will go. Have you started getting seed catalogs in the mail yet? I got the first one two weeks ago. ;-)
