The recent days of rain and sunshine has melted all the snow. This gave me a chance to clean up some of the fallen leaves from around some perennials. The Hellebores are up along with some Peony points poking through the soil.
There are many Foxglove plants that look like they are doing well considering the revolving temperatures. I also see volunteer seedlings coming up all over the butterfly garden.
After prepping the greenhouse earlier this week, I moved the strawberry tower back outside and hopefully they do well for this season.
I sowed another tray of sweet pepper varieties to get them started: Red Marconi, Pepperoncini, Yellow Bell, Yellow Monster, Sweet Banana, Jalapenos, and Poblanos.
I had sown three different colors of Petunias and they needed thinning. So, I spend a little time carefully separating them and putting them into their own cell. This will give them plenty of room to grow. I probably won't have room for all of them, but sharing with others is always an option.
I put out the top of the birdbath next to the pond to give the birds some fresh water. After scooping out tons of leaves from it, the water looked so nasty. It was only a few moments before they all started to enjoy it. Some decided to take a nice bath too.
Mika is sitting in her favorite spot watching all the birds and squirrels having fun in the sun.
This is my #midweek update for the garden community, and I hope you are all enjoying the nice spring weather.
