Hi guys it's my first time in this community and I'm here to share some garden updates with y'all and also tell you what I learnt today.
I visited my grandma after not seeing her for a long time. She was really excited to see me and I was excited to see that she had planted things in the little space she had left in her yard.
The plants were beautiful and the first one I saw was this nice looking garden egg plant. It was already yielding fruits as you can see but not ripe enough for harvest. My hands were itching to pluck one but I didn't want to incur my Grammy's wrath. Haha.
A little fact about the garden egg plant:
Garden egg is an amazing fruit/vegetable and seeing that my grammy planted it made me ask her why she did as she wasn't a fan of eating garden eggs and she said that her doctor asked her to as it was an anti remedy for ulcer.
This rich vegetable/fruit is a good source of vitamins, minerals and can help in the cure of kidney stones. I was amazed to hear all these from my grammy.
The plant looked really green so I had to ask questions and she gave me every detail I needed to know about the plant. My grandma is a native woman and loves natural remedies a lot so I wasn't surprised she took the doctor's advice seriously.
Next up was this crawling plant. The greenness didn't let me pass by without noticing it.
It's the sweet potato plant. The leaf of this plant is very healthy and is cooked as a vegetable. To my knowledge, it's very rich in vitamins.
Next was this small guava tree, I told my Grammy to alert me the moment it brings forth fruit. I love guava a lot.
Here's pawpaw, she really loves fruits. It does keep her healthy and helps fight some bacteria.
She had lots more other plants but I couldn't take more shots as my phone was running out of space.
That's all from me to you beautiful people. Thanks for reading this far. I ❤️ you.
