Finally, my cortaderias (pampas grass) has arrived. I've been dreaming of having it in my garden for a long time and even made several attempts to grow it, but they were unsuccessful. I probably did something wrong... Although from everything I've read about this plant, it's not difficult to care for. Cortaderia loves light, doesn't like wind. It can also grow on poor soil. That's all... But I couldn't do something...
Now I've bought two two-year-old plants. I hope that this option will be more successful. I read everything I could find about growing this ornamental grass. This year my shopping for plants has become very deliberate. I've already realized that with my lifestyle it's a very bad idea to buy a lot of plants, because I just don't have time to take care of them properly. On the other hand, I decided to buy more mature seedlings.
I have chosen a place for my cortaderias, where they will be constantly in my field of vision and I will be able to monitor their condition. It is also important that I can provide them with regular watering. And of course, so that my dogs don't dig them up the next day after I plant them 😂
Now I'm planning my next purchase. It will probably be strawberry seedlings.
