And again a small revision of my garden. My magnolia continues to bloom. I've been raising it for seven years, and now every spring it's the main event in the garden. I find it hard to believe that there is such exoticism in my garden!
This year, however, was unlucky. It was frozen right before flowering, so the flowers are not as beautiful as usual - the edges of the petals darkened, some of the buds did not open normally. It's a pity, of course. You've been waiting all year, and here's such a surprise from the weather. But it's okay, the tree is alive, healthy, next year we will hope for the best. Although with this global warming now you don't know what to expect - either hellish heat or glaciers and mammoths 😂
In general, I'm now continuing the garden audit after winter. I see what survived, what didn't survive the cold, what needs to be cut, what to plant. As always, there is enough work. After winter, the garden always looks a little shabby, and you gradually put everything in order - it's such a pleasant process, although laborious.
And now I've already gone to the local market for replenishment. We have a good selection of seedlings there every spring - locals come, everything is alive, fresh, the prices are normal. I like to walk between rows like this, poke pots, see what's new. I picked up annute eyes, cloves, looked for something else for the flower bed. I also took bags of soil, the soil in my garden is not very good.
Now we have to plant it all. The weather is still nervous - sometimes it's warm, then it's minus at night, then it's raining all day. I try not to rush to plant so as not to lose the seedlings. But my hands are already itching, to be honest. It's spring after all, you can't sit still.
I hope the frosts are finally over and everything will go smoothly. I'll show what will happen 😉
