Good day! Dear gardeners! So July is over and it means that half of gardening season in my region has past. Also it's time for my new garden journal post! Beginning of August turned out hot and dry in my region. And I hope that it'll be enough sun to fruits and vegetables to get matured due this time. Also I need more time to water my plants, especially when temperature higher then 27 degrees. Let's start!
At this time I'd like to start from vegetables. Tomatoes are blooming outside, but there are no fruits on tomatoes yet, and we have been collecting fruits from squash for 2 weeks.
Now let's move to ,my greenhouse where I,m already picking up tomatoes, cucumbers, dill and parsley.
Now let's go again outside. Near greenhouse now ready blueberry and gooseberry. Our kids very like them.
This year we collected enough gooseberries and cooked compote from it for winter time. Also this year we have a lot of raspberry.
We are still waiting fruits from blackberry, hope after couple weeks it will be ready too!
On picture bellow you can see how blooming strawberry for the second time at this summer.
And now several words about flowers in my garden. Some varieties of roses have already faded in my garden, and some are just getting ready to open their buds. Also, phloxes and other summer flowers began to bloom in full force.
In one of my spring posts, I showed how rowan and blossoms, and now it is already ripening and will soon be ready for use.
Recently trimming a grape vine to keep the text from getting fat, I found that not all of the grapes died due to May frosts. And I will have the opportunity to taste them in September.
Also, clusters of red currants have already ripened and are waiting in the wings. This year I will collect it late. But unfortunately, busyness at work and other household chores do not leave me time.
I hope the second half of August will not be so busy and I will be able to harvest the entire crop.
