Hello HiveGarden Lovers, I don't have enough time to do gardening, I'm very busy, so when I went to the garden today, my garden was full of shrubs. In addition, the last few weeks the weather in Binjai city (where I live), has very hot weather. I will share today's gardening activities, I will also show you shrubs which are very useful for our plants, because these shrubs produce nitrogen which is very useful for plant growth.
This shrub usually grows in oil palm plantation areas and is deliberately planted because its roots are able to bind nitrogen from the air. The legume plant that I found is a type of Pueraria javanica. This plant is one of the weeds that is useful for fertilizing the soil and suppressing the growth of other weeds.
If friends find this legume plant, friends can use this shrub as a natural soil fertilizer. Friends who have banana plantations can also use the roots of these shrubs to increase the productivity of banana plants, by planting these shrubs around the banana plants. This bush plant usually reproduces itself with its seeds, the seeds are contained in the fruit. Old fruit will be brown and the seeds will come out and spread.
I will remove the weeds that are in my garden. the garden looks like a forest, because it has been neglected for several weeks.
When I removed the wild plants that were under the rambutan tree, I found a lot of turmeric rhizomes under the ground. I planted turmeric a few months ago and did not expect to be able to harvest turmeric, because there were no turmeric plant stems, only the rhizomes were underground.
After I removed the wild plants that were around the garden, I also found some ginger plants that were starting to grow.
I don't throw away the dry leaves, because the dry leaves will decompose and turn into natural fertilizer, I never use manufactured fertilizers in my garden, they are all natural. I also found some cassava stems starting to grow.
There are also pineapple and lemongrass plants which are starting to thrive even without manufactured fertilizers.
The apple plants that I planted a few weeks ago are also thriving, some of the leaves are starting to sprout.
It's March, usually rambutan trees start to flower and can be harvested in July and August. I will check the rambutan tree, whether it has started to flower.
I also planted a durian tree, now it is 15 months old.
There is also a pandan plant that has a distinctive aroma, I often take the leaves to add to the aroma of making porridge and compote.
The day starts to dusk, before going home I will check if there are any bananas that I can harvest today.
There are several banana trees that are starting to bear fruit and some are getting old, but I won't be harvesting now, I will wait for next week until the bananas are really yellow.
Thank you for reading my post. Happy Gardening.
