Pygmy seahorses are tiny cute little sea creatures. They will grow up looking like whatever coral they hang out in when they're young. They're also tiny, most are less than 1 inch.
We begin with a loss sketch I love the new brushes in procreate this one is called scopus.
I added some texture to the sketch and also moved in the view a bit so the sea horse was more of a focal point.
I added some more texture and the base orange of the sea horse.
And the purple of the coral and some more texture.
I started doing some of the colour/shading, but the line work wasn't jiving.
My usual process is to fade out the line work but after doing that a bit i didn't really like the result. So I decided to keep the bulk of the sketch and draw on the sketch layer.
I added the white for the little nubs on the coral and added in the blue background with a bit of a gradient.
I added in the markings of the coral and made a bit of a tweak to some stuff.
Then I erased some stuff tweaked some lights and darks, and then I called it DONE
