Prompt: Sad Cloud
For today's prompt , I went back to my Day 1 drawing of the cozy train ride and build a little story from there.
This time, the train isn’t just filled with sleepy passengers wrapped in their own moments of coziness. There is a sad cloud standing in the middle of the aisle, drifting slowly between the seats. It looks like a ghost, pale, out of place and too soft for a space meant for solid things. Tears fall straight through it, pooling onto the floor, unnoticed by most of the people on the train.
Everyone else has aim and destination and holding warm cups, taking naps, sharing small moments of comfort. Meanwhile, the cloud moves quietly, carrying its sadness aimlessly. It doesn’t interrupt. It doesn’t ask for attention. It just exists there, heavy and transparent at the same time.
I liked the idea that sadness can show up even in places that feel safe and warm. Sometimes it doesn’t belong to anyone else in the room. Sometimes it just there wanting to co-exist
This is Day 6 of the Just Draw challenge.
You don’t have to start fresh every day. You can return to old drawings, build on them, or let a new prompt reshape something familiar.
If you’re joining late, skipping days, or following your own thread of ideas, you’re still welcome.
Draw at your own pace.
