The Menagerie: Day 30 Prompt - Nectar Speedster!

Hello guys! It's been a while since my last post here in this vibrant space, so welcome back to my blog!

This is my entry for the Day 30 prompt of 'The Menagerie' by Hive account@cabalen. The theme, which features a "Bee-Fly hybrid" with a "Nectar speedster" vibe, and specific details like "racing goggles," a "stopwatch," and a "nectar bottle," was so inspiring that I decided to create this quick scene.

It's just a single paper drawing mixed with my own story. Don't mind me if it's a bit weird, but I hope you enjoy the creative take!

Creation Process:

This artwork began as traditional pen art, which I then converted into a digital format using the Comica app. The process involved a couple of distinct stages:

Stage 1: The Initial Sketch
I started by bringing the scene to life from my imagination, doing a rough sketch using a blue pen. This allowed me to lay down the basic composition and character placements.

Stage 2: Tracing and Detailing
Once the rough sketch was in place, I switched to a black pen to meticulously trace out the lines, refining the characters and adding more intricate details to the scene.

Stage 3: Digital Conversion
Finally, this detailed pen drawing was processed using Comica to give it its final comic book appearance.
