Did a practice in dramatic flair.
Just a quick sketch trying to practice playing around with silhouettes and strong lines. I was really trying to capture that sense of drama with imperfections, kind of theatrical presence here. There's something about a powerful collar and a turn of the head, even from the back.
I am fascinated with how much character and attitude you can convey with just a few pen strokes and a shape that supports it. How do I make every line count and letting the form itself speak. Definitely enjoying exploring this more in my recent work which amazing. What do you all think?
