Fernshade
This is my interpretation of the Fernshade character for the charactober character design challenge. Still under the plant and growth motif. I almost forgot to post this drawing. I was not able to save some drawing process just the finished drawing.
Here is her Lore:
Fernshade is a solitary guardian spirit of the shaded deeper part of the forest. She is a spirit linked to the forest floor specifically, to the quiet, damp places where ferns and moss grows thick and soft.
Her body is a strange fusion of spirit and plant life. Her skin is the pale, grey of a mushroom's cap, and her delicate feet are rooted in the earth but capable of locomotion. Her mantle of light green leaves flows down from her shoulders, forming a dress that shifts and rustles with a sound like wind. The deep brown, curled fronds around her neck and the warm, reddish-orange blooms atop her head signal her connection to the cycles of decay and rebirth that govern the woods.
Fernshade prefers to communicate through the rustle of leaves and the sudden, chilling gust of wind and rain. She maintains the essential, deep silence that allows the life beneath the trees to thrive, undisturbed by the outside world. To see her is rare, and if you did, that is a sign you have gone further into the deep forest than you should have.
