Lore
When night settles over the fields and the dew turns to silver, Luneborn appears at the water’s edge. Their skin holds a faint, cold light — not bright, but steady, like the reflection of a candle in a window. They move as though listening to the tide of the sky itself, pausing whenever the wind changes. In still ponds and glass panes, you might see them standing, quiet and patient, a keeper of the night’s gentler glow.
Design Hook
- Crescent-marked being across the forehead or chest whose breath glows faint blue in the dark.
- Clothing patterned with arcs, circles, or the suggestion of lunar phases. Pale, soft luminescence — a glow that clings to cloth and skin like reflected moonlight
- Textures that echo water and glass — satin, shimmer, or polished surfaces that catch the faintest light.
Creator Notes:
- Luneborn carries the idea of quiet persistence — light that doesn’t demand to be seen, but endures. Design them as if they were shaped by reflection itself: calm, observant, and slightly apart from the world that tries to illuminate them.Use the Design Hook as your main spark.
- Keep designs linked by the weekly Motif Cluster (shared props, textures, palettes) for visual unity.
- Wildwood Wisp is about creating original characters for a tranquil, serene, and natural setting.
Thank you for making this challenge come alive I can't wait to see your creation.
Charactober is a creative challenge, similar to Inktober, where artists design and illustrate a new character every day throughout October. It's a great way to build a diverse portfolio.
