A blank wall in an old ancestral house, the dusty texture of chalk, and a festive atmosphere for a special celebration. I was invited yesterday to the 23rd birthday of , a fellow member of our Draw A Day community. During the party, her mom asked me if I could create a quick mural to fill a bare space in her grandparents' home where the celebration was being held.
I hurriedly put together this chalk drawing, using a piece by from our community as my main inspiration for the girl subject. The goal was to capture
' likeness to make it fit the occasion. It was a bit of a challenge working with chalk on a large scale so quickly, but it was a great way to contribute something personal to the venue while we all gathered to celebrate.
It’s always rewarding to turn a blank surface into something meaningful for a friend, especially in a house with so much history. I'm glad I could finish this in time for the festivities to really kick off. Thank you for stopping by to see this spontaneous birthday project. Goodbye for now!
