Hello to all members of this community and drawing enthusiasts! After buying white acrylic paint, I decided to continue drawing with the double-tipped markers I received as a gift. This time, I'm sharing a drawing of one of my favorite characters: Patalliro, the protagonist of the manga and anime of the same name.
I came across this illustration in one of the fan groups I'm in. It's the cover art for one of the anime's music albums. I loved the drawing, and since the composition was so simple, I thought it would be perfect for practicing with markers.
To do the drawing, I used my pad of thin paper. It's not the best for markers, so that's why you'll see the paper "wrinkled" in the photos, haha. Anyway, I did the drawing in pencil and then started coloring with the markers. Selecting the right shades is still a challenge for me, because even though I've made a "catalog" of each shade and organized the markers (they were all mixed up, haha), sometimes I feel like I choose the wrong color. Even so, I don't dwell on it and just keep coloring.
Once the entire drawing was painted, I proceeded to outline it with the fine tip of the black marker. This allowed me to regain faith in the drawing, because before that, I saw it as a "shapeless blob" haha, but the same thing always happens, so I don't panic anymore.
Looking at the reference, you could say the drawing was finished up to this point. However, I couldn't shake the feeling that it looked flat, so since I now have several shades of markers, I selected the most suitable ones to create some shadows, and with white paint, I added some white lines with a brush to give it some highlights. I really liked the result ⭐️ In fact, I'm thinking of doing more fan art of the manga covers because I love Mineo Maya's work and her illustrations; they fascinate me 💚

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los dibujos! Luego de que compré pintura blanca acrílica, me animé a continuar dibujando con los marcadores doble punta que me regalaron. Es esta oportunidad les vengo a mostrar un dibujo de uno de mis personajes favoritos: Patalliro, protagonista del manga y anime del mismo nombre.
Me encontré con esta ilustración en uno de los grupos de fans en los que estoy. Se trata de una portada perteneciente a uno de los álbumes musicales del anime. Me encantó el dibujo y al ser tan sencilla la composición, pensé que era ideal para mi práctica con los marcadores.
Para realizar el dibujo, utilicé mi block de papel delgado. No es el más ideal para usar marcadores, así que por eso, verán el papel "arrugado" en las fotografías jaja En fin, elaboré el dibujo con lápiz y luego de ello, comencé a pintar con los marcadores. Seleccionar los tonos adecuados aún sigue siendo un reto para mí, pues, aunque ya hice un "catálogo" con cada tono y organicé los marcadores (estaban todos mezclados jaja), a veces siento que elijo el color incorrecto. Aún así, no pienso mucho en el asunto y sigo pintando.
Una vez que todo el dibujo estuvo pintado, procedí a delinearlo con la punta fina del marcador negro. Esto me permitió recuperar la fe en el dibujo, pues antes de eso, lo veía como una "masa sin forma" jaja pero siempre ocurre lo mismo, así que ya no entro en pánico.
Si observamos la referencia, podríamos decir que el dibujo hasta éste punto, estaba terminado. Sin embargo, no podía dejar de pensar que se veía plano, así que aprovechando que ahora tengo varios tonos de marcadores, seleccioné los más adecuados para hacer unas cuantas sombras y con la pintura blanca, agregué unas líneas blancas con la ayuda de un pincel, para darle luz. Así, si me gustó el resultado ⭐️ De hecho, estoy pensando en realizar más fanarts de las portadas del manga, porque me encanta la obra de Mineo Maya y sus ilustraciones, me fascinan 💚
