I recently saw a hand drawn sketch and turned it into a 3D image using MS Paint 3D. The original sketch was done with a fine line pen, showing two women walking away from us. It had a basic background with a tree and a barrel, but I wanted to focus on the women themselves. I imagined their clothes as blocks of color The first one in a bright yellow coat with a red shoulder bag, and the other in a soft blue dress with a purple backpack. They both carried paper bags and wore shoes with little heels.
I used MS Paint 3D to make them into low-poly figures. This means they are made of simple shapes, giving them a kind of blocky, pixelated look. I kept their long coats and the bags, but I made everything very simple and colorful.
I took away the background to keep the focus on the women. I wanted to show how you can take a basic drawing and make it into something new by playing with shapes and colors. It was fun to see how the simple lines of the sketch turned into these colorful, almost cartoonish figures.
My 3D image isn't trying to be realistic; it's more about playing with simple shapes and seeing what I can create.
