Hello everyone... So I decided to take on a big challenge for my self,, sketching Flynn Rider from Tangled.. I’m not exactly the Picasso of faces.. In fact,. drawing faces is like trying to solve a Rubik's cube with my eyes closed 🤣.. But hey, why not?? so let’s give it a shot.. armed with my pencils and a fair amount of optimism, I set out to sketch the charming, Flynn Rider..
The face was... well, let’s say it took me a while to even remotely resemble the handsome thief from the movie.. I tried my best with the shading,, but no matter how much I blended and smudged,, it just wasn’t coming together..
On top of that, I still haven’t finished my entry for the World Building Challenge: Homes of the Forest Folk.. It’s still a work in progress and honestly, it's been a bit of a struggle too.. 😁 I’ve got all these ideas in my head but putting them on paper?? That’s another story.. Maybe the Forest Folk are just too elusive or maybe my artistic brain is just... not firing on all cylinders today..
But, even though I can’t quite get Flynn’s face to look like it does on screen, I’m not giving up. And the Forest Folk homes?? They’ll get there too.. Sketching is all about trying, failing, and trying again (with a bit of frustration and caffeine mixed in, of course 😆).
So here's to the unfinished sketches, the imperfect faces, and the not-quite-there yet designs.. They’re all part of the creative journey and I’m not backing down from it.. Flynn might be a bit lopsided,, but I’ll keep at it until he looks just right,, or at least until I can stop cringing at my attempts 😂
That's all for now.. Have a lovely day!! ❤️
