Hola a toda la comunidad emprendedora de Hive. Hace mucho tiempo que no publico los avances de mi emprendimiento de postres, o mejor dicho, de mi retorno a él después de un par de años en pausa.
Hello to all the entrepreneurial community of Hive. It's been a long time since I published the progress of my dessert venture, or rather, my return to it after a couple of years on hiatus.
Este proceso ha sido lento, pero sin pausa, porque mi deseo es regresar de un todo con las cosas bien planificadas y organizadas, ya que la primera vez fue un inicio acelerado en medio de muchas fallas, pero lo que no puedo negar fue que aprendí muchísimo de esos errores.
En aquel momento, no me tomé el tiempo de hacer ni un estudio de mercado, ni indagar los costos de materia prima y herramientas. Me dirigí al proveedor más cercano, y así me mantuve, cuando en la ciudad había muchos proveedores y los precios, productos y promociones variaban.
This process has been slow, but without pause, because my desire is to return from a whole with things well planned and organized, since the first time was an accelerated start in the midst of many failures, but what I can not deny was that I learned a lot from those mistakes.
At that time, I didn't even take the time to do a market study, nor did I look into the costs of raw materials and tools. I went to the nearest supplier, and that's how I stayed, when there were many suppliers in town and prices, products and promotions varied.
Sé que indagar es un trabajo tedioso, pero es justo y necesario, ya que nuestras ganancias van a depender del costo de nuestros materiales y equipos de trabajo. Es imposible que podamos vender un artículo a un precio accesible y competitivo, si los materiales nos salieron tan costosos, eso va a generar pérdidas para nosotros, y así, poco a poco, vamos directo al fracaso.
En estos últimos meses, he indagado precios y adquirido algunos accesorios necesarios para la elaboración de mis postres, pero la búsqueda continua. Para mi labor se necesitan desde una manga pastelera hasta un batidor eléctrico, siendo este último el que aún no he adquirido porque deseo un equipo que me genere un trabajo cómodo, y adquirirlo depende de mi propio capital.
I know that researching is tedious work, but it is fair and necessary, since our profits will depend on the cost of our materials and work equipment. It is impossible for us to sell an article at an accessible and competitive price, if the materials are so expensive, that will generate losses for us, and thus, little by little, we are going straight to failure.
In recent months, I have investigated prices and acquired some accessories necessary for the preparation of my desserts, but the search continues. For my work I need from a pastry bag to an electric mixer, being this last one the one that I have not yet acquired because I want an equipment that generates a comfortable work, and acquiring it depends on my own capital.
Por el momento he logrado comprar cosas más pequeñas como los recipientes que publiqué anteriormente, mangas pasteleras desechables, moldes para hacer galletas, y algunas duyas o boquillas. He conseguido comercios que venden los equipos al mayor y hacen buenas promociones, y de esa forma me he ido dotando de lo necesario. A eso me refiero cuando digo que voy lento pero sin pausa.
For the moment I have managed to buy smaller things like the containers I posted above, disposable piping bags, cookie cutters, and some duyas or nozzles. I have found stores that sell the equipment wholesale and make good promotions, and in that way I have been getting what I need. That's what I mean when I say I'm going slowly but surely.
He disfrutado la aventura de visitar lugares y ver cuántas cosas nuevas han llegado al mercado. Por ejemplo, en tiempo pasado utilizábamos mangas pasteleras únicas, de tela o de plástico, ahora nos ofrecen una gran variedad de mangas desechables que incluso se pueden usar varias veces siempre y cuando se limpien bien y se resguarden. La variedad de boquillas es impresionante, las quería todas, pero sólo adquirí las más funcionales, por el momento.
I have enjoyed the adventure of visiting places and seeing how many new things have come on the market. For example, in the past we used to use single piping bags, cloth or plastic, now we are offered a wide variety of disposable piping bags that can even be used several times as long as they are well cleaned and protected. The variety of nozzles is impressive, I wanted them all, but only purchased the most functional ones, for the time being.
No he promocionado aún el regreso del emprendimiento hasta no tener todo mi equipo completo, pero sí estoy medianamente activa en ventas eventuales cada vez que tengo la oportunidad de hacerlo. Eso me sigue garantizando que el público vaya conociendo el producto antes de lanzarlo totalmente.
I have not yet promoted the return of the venture until I have all of my equipment complete, but I am moderately active in eventual sales whenever I have the opportunity to do so. This continues to ensure that the public gets to know the product before it is fully launched.
Emprender es una de las actividades más valiosas que he experimentado, y que los venezolanos hemos aprendido en estos últimos años… mentira no es que tropezamos, caemos, y nos levantamos de nuevo con más fuerza, que aprendemos los unos de los otros, y que la creatividad aumenta con el tiempo y la práctica.
Sin duda alguna, la mejor frase que me ha dejado esta experiencia de ser emprendedora, es que “El que persevera alcanza”.
Entrepreneurship is one of the most valuable activities that I have experienced, and that Venezuelans have learned in recent years... lie is not that we stumble, fall, and get up again with more strength, that we learn from each other, and that creativity increases with time and practice.
Undoubtedly, the best phrase that this experience of being an entrepreneur has left me is that "He who perseveres achieves".
