¿Eterno emprendedor? Bueno, dicha interrogante puede verse desde muchos matices, ya sea en cuanto a destacar la actitud con la que deseas iniciar tu proyecto de trabajo o si se trata de algo que se extiende en cuanto al tiempo y esfuerzo que este conlleva. Sea de un modo u otro, lo cierto es que en algún punto intermedio esta pregunta puede surgir, y más si pensamos en que aún hay mucho por hacer o simplemente hay cosas que se han dejado de llevar a cabo. Desde mi punto de vista, hasta es bastante sano que esto en algún momento pueda pasar por nuestra mente ya que también puede darle mayor peso a nuestro enfoque y nuestra determinación por alcanzar el destino deseado.
Más allá del concepto básico, el emprendimiento siempre apunta hacia una meta o llegada, algo que en concreto pueda definir todo lo que desde un inicio has podido invertir para un propósito específico. Dependiendo del plan de trabajo, hasta se podrían señalar ciertos puntos que a corto plazo nos puedan arrojar un diagnóstico seguro al cual debamos reaccionar según se perciban los resultados. No se trata de una idea inicial demasiado extendida ni tampoco una meta que jamás se pueda alcanzar, y en este caso es bueno que seamos francos y entendamos que ningún emprendimiento llega a calcar de manera perfecta con otro, ni siquiera con aquellos que tengan muchos elementos afines o que apunten hacia un mismo objetivo.
An eternal entrepreneur? Well, this question can be viewed from many angles, whether it’s about highlighting the attitude with which you want to launch your business venture, or whether it refers to the time and effort involved. Whichever the case, the truth is that at some point this question may arise, especially if we consider that there is still much to be done or simply that there are things that have been left undone. From my point of view, it is actually quite healthy for this to cross our minds at some point, as it can also give greater weight to our focus and our determination to reach our desired destination.
Beyond the basic concept, entrepreneurship always aims towards a goal or outcome—something concrete that can define everything you have invested from the outset for a specific purpose. Depending on the work plan, it is even possible to identify certain short-term milestones that can provide us with a clear assessment, to which we must respond as the results become apparent. It is not a overly broad initial idea, nor is it a goal that can never be achieved, and in this case it is good to be frank and understand that no business venture is a perfect carbon copy of another, not even those with many similar elements or which aim for the same objective.
Emprender es un proceso que va de la mano con la gestión y la innovación. No solo se da un paso para avanzar, sino que en el mismo impulso vas incorporando lo necesario para establecer, crecer y seguir adelante con tu proyecto. Como emprendedor, entiendes que un esfuerzo inicial no lo es todo y que por muy grande que sea la inversión en sentido amplio la realidad es que no debes renunciar a ese pensamiento de poder aportar algo nuevo a tu trabajo. Con los objetivos alcanzados automáticamente vienen muchas oportunidades que quizás al principio no visualizabas, así que en este aspecto se puede afirmar que dentro del mismo emprendimiento hay pequeños espacios para poder aportar mayor crecimiento y estabilidad a tu trabajo.
Entonces, ¿Cuándo dejamos de ser emprendedores? Tal vez la pregunta en sí solo revela una realidad palpable, y es que dentro del mismo emprendimiento el crecimiento, la sostenibilidad y la visión no dejan de ser. Es como si a una distancia tuvieras ya un destino seleccionado, y a medida que te vas acercando al objetivo quizás la perspectiva cambia, pero no la actitud. Incluso si llegaras a lo planteado, de seguro que desde allí buscarías una manera de poder continuar e ir más allá. No te estancas ni te resignas a lo que ya has producido, y con la misma satisfacción que conllevan los sacrificios y esfuerzos encuentras fortalecer tu visión emprendedora.
Entrepreneurship is a process that goes hand in hand with management and innovation. It’s not just a matter of taking a step forward; as you move forward, you simultaneously incorporate what is needed to establish, grow and keep your project moving. As an entrepreneur, you understand that an initial effort is not everything and that, however large the investment may be in the broadest sense, the reality is that you must not give up on the idea of being able to bring something new to your work. Once your goals are achieved, many opportunities automatically arise that you may not have envisaged at the outset, so in this respect it can be said that within the venture itself there are small opportunities to bring greater growth and stability to your work.
So, when do we stop being entrepreneurs? Perhaps the question itself reveals a tangible reality: that within entrepreneurship itself, growth, sustainability and vision never cease to exist. It is as if, from a distance, you already have a destination in mind, and as you get closer to your goal, your perspective may change, but your attitude does not. Even if you were to reach your goal, you would surely look for a way to carry on and go further from there. You do not stagnate or resign yourself to what you have already achieved, and with the same satisfaction that comes from sacrifice and effort, you find yourself strengthening your entrepreneurial vision.
Por eso, creo que no es tanto el "cuándo" sino el "porqué" lo que si puede tocar la esencia natural de poder labrar un sendero para nuestro trabajo. Para una expectativa realista siempre habrá una motivación para no dejar de hacer lo necesario y quedarnos a medio camino. Tampoco nos irrita el hecho de poder invertir más tiempo o recursos de los que quizás pensamos en un principio, y quizás la misma preocupación no raya en un final sino en el hecho de pensar que no hemos logrado nada. Existe un punto de partida y una meta, pero para lo que jamás habrá límites será para poder abarcar más de lo que incluso planteaste desde tu idea original. Probablemente todo se trata no de cuántas preguntas surgen, sino sobre cuántas respuestas va generando tu propio emprendimiento.
Más allá de cuestionar, la razón es poder entender la clase de evolución que todo trabajo debe experimentar y como él mismo nos ayuda a mantener un espíritu emprendedor potenciado en nuestros logros. Hasta nos cura en salud poder reflexionar en el lugar donde ahora estamos con respecto a lo que por algún momento fue una idea, una pequeña semilla que fuimos cultivando con mucho criterio y disposición. Es por eso que para quienes parecen tener esa naturalidad emprendedora, la consigna de esta publicación tan solo sea una confirmación de algo que jamás deja de ser parte fundamental en el desarrollo de cualquier proyecto de trabajo.
That is why I believe it is not so much the ‘when’ but the ‘why’ that can truly touch upon the very essence of being able to carve out a path for our work. With realistic expectations, there will always be a motivation to keep doing what is necessary and not give up halfway. Nor does it bother us that we might have to invest more time or resources than we perhaps initially thought, and perhaps the concern itself does not lie in the end result but in the thought that we have achieved nothing. There is a starting point and a goal, but what will never be limited is the ability to achieve more than you even envisaged in your original idea. It is probably not about how many questions arise, but rather how many answers your own venture generates.
Beyond simply questioning, the aim is to understand the kind of evolution that all work must undergo, and how this helps us to maintain a strong entrepreneurial spirit in our achievements. It is even beneficial to reflect on where we are now in relation to what was once an idea, a small seed that we nurtured with great care and dedication. That is why, for those who seem to possess that natural entrepreneurial flair, the message of this post is simply a confirmation of something that never ceases to be a fundamental part of the development of any work project.
