Hoy en día mucho se habla de mujeres empoderadas; un término que ha sido sumamente debatido; pero que especifica a las mujeres que ocupan espacios en la sociedad, que antes, solo pertenecían a los hombres.
Ellas han demostrado que su sexo no ha sido limitante para logros iguales y hasta mejores que los ganados en años anteriores por el sexo opuesto.
Los trasfondos culturales son parte de este concepto, pues muchas mujeres tienen, legalmente, circunstancias que las limitan; y para María Luisa, que es una latinoamericana, madre soltera, educadora en el área de sociales, y que se ha dado a la tarea de aprender a manejar un equipo de transcriptores, traductores y de correctores de artículos y trabajos científicos; la tarea no ha sido fácil.
Sin embargo, hoy triunfa; y nosotros la hemos abordado para conocer sus conceptos; dejándonos aquí, increíbles sugerencias sobre lo que es ser una mujer emprendedora; pero no son solo para las mujeres, también para todo aquel que desee convertirse en alguien exitoso.
Un trabajo de mucha entrega, como todo emprendimiento
Ella, que comenzó ofreciendo sus conocimientos en una página de una plataforma donde se buscan y se ofrecen trabajos en línea, hoy ofrece un servicio que es altamente reconocido por muchas personas que estudian y trabajan en las principales universidades del país y, actualmente, en universidades y tecnológicos de otros países cercanos.
En estos momentos cuenta con un equipo de traductores y redactores de diferentes profesiones que manejan muy bien el lenguaje y, por supuesto, la tecnología de información y comunicaciones.
Su emprendimiento, que es a través de un blog, ya personal, le ha permitido trabajar en redacciones de artículos, correcciones de trabajos científicos, transcripciones y traducciones; y hoy cuenta con cientos de clientes que acuden a ella en forma constante para perfeccionar sus trabajos, exposiciones, y hasta para la edición y corrección de textos que luego van a ser publicados.
Las características de personalidad de esta mujer nos ha llamado muchísimo la atención, porque es una forma de entender las características de personalidad que dan empoderamiento a las personas que quieren salir adelante.
En este caso, una mujer que tuvo dificultades económicas, con una maternidad precoz, que ha tenido que enfrentarse a situaciones familiares difíciles, e inclusive, estudiar con responsabilidades no propias para su edad; nos puede dar lecciones de lo que significa el empoderamiento y el acto de emprender.
Vamos a hablar aquí, de cinco características o cualidades que María Luisa nos ha tenido a bien compartir con nosotros y que son pilares fundamentales para que cualquier persona, no solamente mujer, pueda tener asegurado el éxito en sus emprendimientos.
1.- Trabajar en uno mismo
La autoestima es sumamente importante para poder entender y comprender las habilidades que uno posee y las potencialidades que puede desarrollar; por lo que el autoanálisis creativo y positivo es necesario.
El respeto por los demás comienza por el respeto y la valoración a uno mismo, por la percepción que se tenga de uno, que es prioritaria, porque de eso depende el éxito.
El logro depende de la concepción mental de que, sí podemos.
La frase de Marie Curie (1867-1934): “Usted no puede esperar construir un mundo mejor sin mejorar a las personas. Cada uno de nosotros debe trabajar para su propia mejora”; tiene que ver con la capacidad de tener una autoestima positiva, fortalecida y acorde con la realidad para poder ofrecer beneficios a otros.
2.- Convertirse en seres humanos integrales
Ya lo dijo Simone de Beavoir (1908-1986) que “No nacemos como mujer, sino que nos convertimos en una” y ha sido una frase muy utilizada en la lucha del feminismo; y significa: Convertirse en eso que deseas; dejar de ser lo que te etiquetan culturalmente para visualizar tus propias potencialidades.
Las personas que se convierten en empresarios exitosos tiene la capacidad de comunicar sus necesidades y de luchar empáticamente por otros y por sus déficits; demuestran sus aptitudes profesionales y, sobre todo, enseñan con su propio ejemplo de vida.
Nadie nace teniendo la concepción deficitaria de mujer, esta concepción se crea, y, por lo tanto, un ser humano para salir de los patrones negativos debe ir creando posibilidades en su personalidad, transformándose en líder.
Entender lo que es dirección y llevar a otros con su ejemplo al empoderamiento y a la posibilidad de lucha y de creación de oportunidades.
3.- Ser ejemplo de servicio
Ningún emprendimiento es posible y factible sin que provea de un servicio para mejorar la calidad de vida en los demás o para resolver problemas en otros.
Y esto lo hemos dicho anteriormente hasta la saciedad, que hay que tener interés en la mejoría de todos y en los problemas que atraviesan todos.
Por lo tanto, una de las condiciones que debe tener un ser humano para salir de los patrones negativos es dejar la apatía y las convicciones tradicionales a un lado, y comenzar a construir para el beneficio de toda la sociedad.
Dejar de ser apático es la primera de las condiciones mediante las cuales un ser humano conoce el entorno que le rodea; lo estudia y sabe por cuál puerta puede introducirse para comenzar a dar satisfacciones y transformaciones personales y sociales.
Como bien dijo Jane Goodall (1934): “El mayor peligro que nos depara el futuro es la apatía”.
4.- Ser auto-responsable
No solamente esto nos conlleva a entender que cada uno de los actos que se emprenden depende de nosotros mismos, y que los resultados que se obtengan de estos, deben permitirnos evaluar nuestras acciones y nuestros errores, corregirlos y mejorarlos.
Hacernos responsables y conscientes por todo lo que hacemos es el principio fundamental para salir de las concepciones tradicionales y de la palabra imposibilidad.
Indira Gandhi (1917-1984) dijo: “Para liberarse, la mujer debe sentirse libre, no para rivalizar con los hombres, sino libres en sus capacidades y personalidad”.
Es el espíritu optimista el que hace que una persona emprenda, pero también, que se conozca y que se responsabilice por sus actos.
5.- Lograr el control emocional
Una de las características que se les ha señalado a las mujeres ha sido el excesivo derroche emocional en cada una de sus acciones; y esto es sumamente falso.
No hay ninguna diferencia en el logro del control afectivo del hombre y el de las mujeres.
La contención emocional de los hombres obedece a una represión ante el entorno y ante el qué dirán, para mantener su rol de sujeto dominante impuesto socialmente.
Mientras que la mujer puede igualmente ejercer controles efectivos sobre sus emociones y aprender a escuchar, a entender y a reaccionar de la forma más positiva y usando la negociación como herramienta.
Los prototipos de conducta sexista han cambiado y ahora es posible aprender del control emocional de muchas mujeres líderes.
Es necesario, por otra parte, aprender que, como bien lo dijo la Madre Teresa de Calcuta (1910-1997) que: “La paz comienza con una sonrisa”.
Así, la intención y la racionalidad deben estar ante cualquier derroche emocional, con educción, afecto y respeto al otro.
La inteligencia emocional nos enseña cómo controlar el efecto de las emociones en nuestro organismo y en nuestras relaciones sociales, por lo tanto, hay que estudiarla, comprenderla, practicarla.
Son sugerencias efectivas para todos
Emprender es empoderarse de alguna u otra manera; y hoy en día, con la globalización, con las tecnologías de información y comunicaciones, todos formamos parte de el mismo equipo, luchando por desarrollar nuestros sueños, lograr nuestras empresas y hacerlas exitosas; independientemente de sexo, cultura, raza o edad.
Los ejemplos de una mujer que ha logrado el empoderamiento a través de mucho trabajo y de situaciones adversas, no solamente pueden ayudar a otras mujeres, sino también, a nosotros mismos.
Como bien expone el sitio de Ayuda en Acción:
La solidaridad es “…De los valores y principios más importantes de nuestra entidad: cooperación y corresponsabilidad de las personas ante intereses comunes y ayudar a las personas a que desarrollen sus propias capacidades y sean los verdades protagonistas.”
Espero que estos principios nos sirvan para seguir adelante y lograr desarrollarnos en toda nuestra plenitud, además de llegar a ser ejemplos para otros que van comenzando o que simplemente no han vencido el temor de arriesgarse o no se atreven a hacerlo.

1.- Work on oneself
Self-esteem is extremely important to be able to understand and comprehend the abilities that one possesses and the potentialities that one can develop; therefore, a creative and positive self-analysis is necessary.
Respect for others begins with respect and appreciation for oneself, for the perception that one has of oneself, which is a priority, because success depends on it.
Achievement depends on the mental conception that, yes, we can.
The phrase of Marie Curie (1867-1934): "You cannot hope to build a better world without improving people. Each of us must work for our own improvement"; has to do with the ability to have a positive self-esteem, strengthened and in accordance with reality in order to be able to offer benefits to others.
2.- To become integral human beings
Simone de Beavoir (1908-1986) said that "We are not born as a woman, but we become one" and it has been a phrase widely used in the struggle of feminism; and it means: To become what you want; to stop being what you are culturally labeled to visualize your own potential.
People who become successful entrepreneurs have the ability to communicate their needs and to empathetically fight for others and their deficits; they demonstrate their professional skills and, above all, they teach by their own life example.
No one is born with a deficient conception of woman, this conception is created, and, therefore, a human being to get out of the negative patterns must create possibilities in his personality, transforming himself into a leader.
To understand what leadership is and to lead others with her example to empowerment and the possibility of struggle and creation of opportunities.
3.- To be an example of service
No enterprise is possible and feasible without providing a service to improve the quality of life of others or to solve problems in others.
And we have said it before ad nauseam, that it is necessary to have an interest in the improvement of everyone and in the problems that everyone is going through.
Therefore, one of the conditions that a human being must have to get out of negative patterns is to leave apathy and traditional convictions aside, and start building for the benefit of the whole society.
To stop being apathetic is the first of the conditions through which a human being knows the environment that surrounds him; he studies it and knows through which door he can enter to begin to give satisfactions and personal and social transformations.
As Jane Goodall (1934) rightly said: "The greatest danger that the future holds for us is apathy".
4.- To be self-responsible
Not only this leads us to understand that each of the acts that we undertake depends on ourselves, and that the results obtained from these, should allow us to evaluate our actions and our mistakes, correct them and improve them.
To make us responsible and conscious for everything we do is the fundamental principle to get out of the traditional conceptions and the word impossibility.
Indira Gandhi (1917-1984) said: "To free herself, a woman must feel free, not to rival men, but free in her capacities and personality".
It is the optimistic spirit that makes a person to undertake, but also, to know oneself and to take responsibility for one's actions.
5.- Achieving emotional control
One of the characteristics that has been pointed out to women has been the excessive emotional waste in each of their actions; and this is extremely false.
There is no difference in the achievement of emotional control between men and women.
Men's emotional containment obeys to a repression before the environment and before what people will say, in order to maintain their role of socially imposed dominant subject.
Whereas women can also exercise effective control over their emotions and learn to listen, understand and react in the most positive way, using negotiation as a tool.
The prototypes of sexist behavior have changed and it is now possible to learn from the emotional control of many women leaders.
It is necessary, on the other hand, to learn that, as Mother Teresa of Calcutta (1910-1997) said: "Peace begins with a smile".
Thus, intention and rationality must be before any emotional waste, with politeness, affection and respect for the other.
Emotional intelligence teaches us how to control the effect of emotions in our organism and in our social relationships, therefore, it must be studied, understood and practiced.
These are effective suggestions for everyone
Entrepreneurship is empowerment in one way or another; and today, with globalization, with information and communication technologies, we are all part of the same team, struggling to develop our dreams, achieve our businesses and make them successful; regardless of gender, culture, race or age.
The examples of a woman who has achieved empowerment through hard work and adverse situations can not only help other women, but also ourselves.
As the Ayuda en Acción website puts it:
Solidarity is "...Of the most important values and principles of our entity: cooperation and co-responsibility of people in the face of common interests and helping people to develop their own capacities and be the true protagonists."
I hope that these principles will help us to move forward and develop to our full potential, as well as to become examples for others who are just starting out or who simply have not overcome the fear of taking risks or do not dare to do so.
