Before now in Nigeria all there is was just a stand up comedy nights called night of a thousand laugh it usually is a big show and all the comedian would be present, no one ever taught about it untill someone started the idea, came up with about making short comedy skits and throw it up on YouTube gradually these dude was gainning traction by the day, there after another after another and today comedians in Nigeria are among the richest earning Individuals in the country. Through endorsement deals, advert placement, sponsorships, brand ambassadors, brand influencers etc.
After my friend narrated his very tough ordeal and experiences he had and went through in Lagos I just laughed, there I told him, man you're super talented and gifted in comedy, you've done a lot of series which you aboundon going to chase after other things meanwhile you have a goldmine within you, why did you leave it, he was trying to bring in the money aspect and lack of sponsorship, pointing out to the big guys now and how much money they had to put into be that successful, that's when I told him money is not necessary at this point.
I told him the hardest thing to do in life is to start something, because that's when all your willpower is required to make it happen all that determination and stability you've got will be needed to succeed at least for the first three months, most of these big guys now if you could do a background check on them to see how they started you'd marvelled at how they got here, just them their zeal, passion and the optimism to continue, believing in that dream of what they had to succeed , so they consciously, undoubtedly continued in pushing their Dreams to all media platforms, the more views they generate the more they keep doing until sponsorship, endorsement deals started coming forth and today they are super wealthy just from comedy skits nothing else.
The key thing here is CONSISTENCY while my friend complained a lot about funds I told him in life one of the key principles to succeed is that you must stay consistent in what you're doing, I told him keep pushing yourself up by the time you have created enough attention to your self then sponsorship becomes too easy to come by, but before then you must be willing to invest in yourself first before others will come...
CONSISTENCY IS A PROOF OF FAILURE
