Vengo de una familia que siempre tuvo una visión comercial, estoy segura que era con el fin de lograr la tan ansiada libertad financiera, mi papá siempre trabajó y actualmente se mantiene del comercio, y mi mamá ejerció su profesión y a la par desarrollaba su actividad comercial, hasta que un día quebré su negocio 😂 esa es una historia que quizás más adelante contaré.
I come from a family that always had a commercial vision, I'm sure it was in order to achieve the long-awaited financial freedom, my dad always worked and currently supports himself from trade, and my mom practiced her profession and at the same time developed her commercial activity, until one day I broke her business 😂 that's a story that maybe later I will tell.
Yo por mi parte recibí la información de estudiar, ese era el norte, así lo hice hasta que me gradué en la universidad y conté con la suerte de trabajar de inmediato, pasado un tiempo mi papá empezó a decirme que sería una buena opción que me dedicara al comercio y para mí esa no era una buena idea. Yo había estudiado y no tenía pensado vender nada, eso no era lo mío. El típico dicho, no me gusta cobrarle a las personas, quebraria de inmediato.

En ese momento habían pocos lugares donde poder comprar detalles de este tipo, y de ahí surge mi idea.

Solo tenía tres cosas claras:
1- No tenía capital para empezar eso me llevo a

3- Apoyarme en una red social para poder promocionar los artículos.

Para ese momento era muy común comprar a través de mercado libre, y no me pregunten ¿por qué?, pero yo odiaba esa aplicación, me parecía la cosa más aburrida para buscar algo que te gustara. Había visto que por Instagram estaban activas las ventas y quería utilizar esa red social como catálogo.

Llegó el día de decidir un nombre, como siempre nadie me prestaba atención pensaban que no era seria mi idea, lo veían quizás como intangible y por ende no lograría concretar algo, le pregunté a mi hermanito y novio y me respondían cualquier cosa sin mostrar interés. Pensé por unas horas y me dije, un nombre que sea en español y que transmita lo que es. Algo muy claro que las personas no tengan que buscar o ver qué es lo que vendo. Salió mi lado ingenioso jajajajajaja y dije lo tengo se llamará Pantuflas y Cojines es lo que venderé, así se llamará para que no le quede dudas a ninguna persona. ¡A nadie le gustó! sin embargo a mi sí y continúe.
The day came to decide a name, as always no one paid attention to me, they thought that my idea was not serious, they saw it as intangible and therefore I would not achieve something, I asked my little brother and boyfriend and they answered me anything without showing interest. I thought for a few hours and I said to myself, a name that is in Spanish and that transmits what it is. Something very clear that people don't have to look for or see what I'm selling. My witty side came out hahahahahahaha and I said I have it, it will be called Slippers and Cushions that's what I will sell, that's what it will be called so that no one will have any doubts. Nobody liked it! however I did and I continued.
Me senté a conversar unos minutos con mi hermanito porque yo no tenía idea cómo funcionaba Instagram, él medio me explico y me pareció complejo. Sin embargo me dije tengo que empezar, es así como lograré avanzar, y ese mismo día abrí la cuenta coloqué el nombre y busque una imagen random y la cargue en el perfil.
I sat down to talk for a few minutes with my little brother because I had no idea how Instagram worked, he half explained it to me and it seemed complex. However, I said to myself I have to start, this is how I will make progress, and that same day I opened the account, I put the name and searched for a random image and uploaded it to the profile.
Oficialmente @pantuflasycojines nace en el mes de enero del año 2016.

Fue difícil, porque no sabía cómo se manejaba Instagram, investigué y poco a poco iba aprendiendo, llegué al primer año y ya contaba con 1000 seguidores, recuerdo que un chico me contactó y me invitó a un grupo de publicidad en el que logré que la marca ganará reconocimiento y confianza. Posterior a esto contacté a un diseñador gráfico y obtuve la identidad gráfica.
It was difficult, because I did not know how to handle Instagram, I investigated and little by little I was learning, I reached the first year and already had 1000 followers, I remember that a guy contacted me and invited me to an advertising group in which I managed to make the brand gain recognition and trust. After that I contacted a graphic designer and got the graphic identity.
Para ese momento entendí que lo complicado no era confeccionar cada pieza, sino encontrar que las personas se interesaran y quisieran comprarlas y eso lo lograba a través de la cuenta de instagram. Así que tenía doble trabajo la creación del producto y la gestión de la red social. No fue difícil lograr que las personas se interesaran en los productos, inicie las ventas y empecé a enviar a todo el país, posicione la marca en el centro del país más no en mi ciudad.

So I had double work creating the product and managing the social network. No he pensado en ningún momento dejar de ejercer mi profesión, es algo que he llevado en paralelo, he ganado muchos amigos a través del networking incluso personas de confianza que nos comunicamos a través del teléfono y que jamás hemos compartido en persona. En este camino he pasado por muchos altos y bajos, la marca tiene 6 años y aún sigue en crecimiento, me he tenido que ajustarme a muchos cambios (situación económica de mi país Venezuela y pandemia) actualmente estoy en un relanzamiento del producto estrella las pantuflas ya que me desvíe un poco del norte 🙄 los clientes son una cosa seria.

Mi proyecto más importante sin duda alguna es la marca @pantuflasycojines , de ahí nace esta cuenta de hive. Una anécdota es que muchas personas me conocen como la pantu 😂. y es que la vida cambia un poco, soy un poquito famosa me dicen tu eres la chica de pantuflas y cojines y yo si, soy Mariela 😏 ya me di por vencida y atiendo a todos los que me llaman pantu incluso hasta pantuflas.
My most important project is undoubtedly the brand @pantuflasycojines , hence this hive account was born. Si me preguntan cual fue la mejor desición que tomé les diría comenzar, sin duda alguna fue lo mejor que pude hacer en "ese momento". Sin embargo al día de hoy se debe comenzar con varios puntos muy claros si la idea es consolidar la marca y que perdure no se puede iniciar como yo lo hice en el 2016.
