How ​​has work been this year?

Around this time of year, you see gifts ready to buy in shop windows; however, achieving all of this requires a lot of preparation.

We prepare for this. We plan, we keep an eye on the date, we have ideas in mind for what we can offer our clients, and once we've secured them, we get to work on the orders.

I've also been observing other entrepreneurs who started their campaigns to attract corporate clients well in advance; this gave me an idea for the upcoming holidays.

While we work, there are two of us, my sister and I; our hands are completely full.

First we developed the whole idea, then we designed the custom cards in Canva.

Then we went for other materials like fabrics and hair clips.

After that, the work began in our home factory. We cut, measured, sewed, packed everything, and delivered the orders.

We're also working on some extras to offer online through Facebook. For this, we don't buy as much material, just enough for retail sales.

It's been a lot of work, but we've been very happy with it. It's better to have something to do than nothing to do; that's what I always think.

Some Mistakes to Learn From...

As I mentioned, the first mistake this year was launching a week late.

If you launch a week earlier, as an entrepreneur you generate more sales because you reach more customers.

I realized this by observing our competition, which is quite positive because you can learn a lot from it.

The second mistake was the cost structure. Unfortunately, my sister's phone malfunctioned and deleted some cells with important calculations. So I created a new, simpler system, and we started accessing it only through the computer. This way, we avoid the errors that using the phone can cause.

We're also working on other things

Most of the work on the online store is done manually, so since we're both busy, we decided that we'd both also work on attracting customers through social media.

One of us will use TikTok and the other Instagram. This way, we can manage the social media more easily without being overwhelmed by the workload.

We're working on making the posts on the online store better and better.

We've also been working on our product packaging, looking for the best option and making the customer experience better and better.

I feel like that's what it's all about: not settling for what we already have, but always striving to go further.
