Happy Thor's Day everyone!π€π
In Old English Thursday is refer to as Thor's Day.
Just a bit of a trivia
In the Roman calendar, the fourth day of the week was named for Jupiter (lovis Dies). During Roman occupation of Germanic territories, the calendar was borrowed and the association of Jupiter with Thor led to the naming convention for Thunor's Day, eventually shortened to Thor's Day.
Thor is reminiscent of Jupiter, as they both deal with lightning and thunder. So this day of the week became Thursday.
Thor is in Nordic mythology Sif's husband and was the god of thunder.
The name ΓΓ³rr (Thor) is related to the word 'thunder'. (Source: dictionary.com)
Haha, there's no connection to my post though just want to share a trivia since it's a Thursday.βΊοΈπ€
Anyways, for this week's #Aseanhivechallenge round #94 our new theme is all about #Orange.
When I read the post of our admin , I immediately looked at my gallery to see if I have photos pertaining to the color orange. I have some but not really worth sharing as an entry.
Gladly, yesterday my hubby told me that he ran out of honey already. He said we need to buy honey which he use as one of the main diet for his loved pigeons, his champion flyers.
We buy them from the local tribes here in our city, the Aetas. They harvest pure organic honey from the forest inside Subic Bay.
We have to travel forty-five minutes from our house so we can buy some honey. While traveling I saw the very beautiful sunset. It was already past 5pm that we drove by the seaside.
Then, as I looked at the sun, I remembered about our Orange theme so I told my husband you have to give me a clear shot of the sun!!! That's an order!!! it's imperative that you stop!! Haha.... No just kidding I can't Boss around my "Boss". ππ€ͺπ€
Luckily, there is a place just beside the high way were you can park and just enjoy the view of the ocean, the mountains and of course the sunset. The place is called Malawaan and this is a fishing area as well. You can park your vehicle then you can fish using rods. We used to be a fishing addict when we were still newlyweds for seven years just before our son was born.
I just zoomed in the photo and as I tried zooming in, the photo becomes darker and you can see clearly that there is a navy ship moored by the dock. The reflection of the sun's orange color is so vivid on the ocean.
If it's not zoomed in that navy ship is really very far away.
We often see big ships here in Subic since it has become a commercial Seaport where it's geared to become a logistics hub of our country by leveraging on its Seaport and airport.
We stayed for a while until I got enough snaps for my entry...ππ€
Well, of course I am a sunset hunter so seeing a marvelous sight like this is, oh man! Just makes my heart swell with gratitude.
I guess the universe heard me saying, I don't have an entry, I need to have an entry for this week!!! And so Viola!! Abracadabra!
What you say, becomes!!!
Thank you Universe! For this awesome wonder!
Are you a sunset hunter just like me? Isn't this amazingly wonderful?!
Our God never ceases to tell us how much he loves us.
Everyday, we always see his awesome works.
So, don't fret if you feel you are under the weather now. Just so you know, Our Father in Heaven loves you so much just don't be blinded by all your worries, troubles, problems sickness that you fail to see how he is showing you that He cares for you and that He will never leave you alone, unhappy and sad.
Don't forget to count your blessings, you have so much to be grateful for.
And so, here is my #Orange entry.
I wish to invite our friends
to join in this week's #communitychallenge.
All the best to our fellow participants as well.
Remember, always look for the good in everything.
