Hello everyone!!
Let's boost our bodies with healthy homemade drinks. I usually make this to mix my tea in the morning. But lately, we have just been having honey and soya milk for my tea.
Then, yesterday, my daughter requested that I make lemon and ginger juice again. So, hubby bought some fresh lemon and ginger at the market early this morning. And since my daughter did not open any classes this morning due to a poor internet connection, that might be because of the strong aftershock that occurred at dawn.
We are still experiencing some aftershocks from a strong earthquake that hit Cebu City, specifically in Bogo City, last week. Therefore, electricity and internet connections are also affected. That's why my daughter was able to take a break from her work today. So, we made this healthy drink together.
Here's how we did it simply.
Lemon and Ginger Juice with Honey
INGREDIENTS:
- Lemon
- Ginger
- Honey
- Sugar
- Water
PREPARING THE DRINK:

Wash and clean the lemons, and then slice them thinly. I made two bigger slices of lemon, too. Then set aside.
Wash and peel the ginger and slice it thinly.
Let's now boil some water in a pot or cooker. Once boiling, put the sliced lemon and ginger.
Then, squeeze the juice from the larger sliced lemon. Let them boil for about 30 to 45 minutes. You can add water if needed.
After boiling the ginger and lemon, turn off the cooker and let it cool down a bit.
After cooling down, my husband strains the mixture and transfers it into an empty jar. Then we keep it in the fridge.

And we made a refreshing cold lemon-ginger juice + honey for our lunch too.

We added a small amount of white sugar, just about 2 to 3 tablespoons. Then add some ice cubes to it.

That was really refreshing and also very healthy.
I always love adding this to my tea.
