Hi hivemates!
How have you been?
Today, I want to share our simple celebration for my better half's birthday.
Every 30th of November is a holiday as we celebrate the bravery of our hero Andres Bonifacio.
I used to tease my husband that people of the Philippines would stop working because it is his special day (hehehe).
Fun fact, his name is Bon2x derived from Andres Bonifacio.
Today is a very simple yet special day for our family. We kept things intimate, no surprises but with birthday hugs and kisses from me and my kids.
From our house celebration we hopped to our in laws house and extended the celebration there with his family.
We felt the loved from greetings to birthday blow out for him.
His mom bought pizza with different flavors while his brother bought the biryani chicken.
Our stomachs were full so as our our hearts.
Next stop was in his granny's house. it was such a sweet gesture since she bought a chocolate roll for him and sang a happy birthday song.
It was a simple yet thoughtful act from her grandma who'd been calling him to pledge a simple birthday cake.
She even set up their Christmas tree and turned on the Christmas light to make the house more inviting.
I can see the the genuine smile on my husband's face upon seeing his family and loved ones who spent time to be with him.
A day after this, we went to church for our gratitude and thanksgiving for adding another year to his life.
We had a good and happy lunch as we held a mini game to bring fun to our simple family lunch.
It was indeed a great and amazing moment as we celebrated his birthday.
What about you? How do you get to celebrate you and your loved ones birthday?
