Hello hivemates!
How have you been?
I hope that all are well. Today, I want to tell you our favorite day of the week.
We always look forward to Sunday.
A lot of things are happening every Sunday. It's the most productive day of our week.
From our early morning ritual until night, the family would stick with our Sunday habit. These are not grand activities but are rather simple ones yet we look forward to them.
In the morning, I would make sure that I would do a little bit of household chores like preparing breakfast, ironing the family's clothes, to prepare for our stroll.
My baby would show her happy smile as if she was anticipating that we would go out and stroll once I bathed her and changed her dress.
My eldest would offer her support to carry her younger sister while we would wait for the grab car to arrive.
Normally,it wouldn't take too long to wait for a grab driver to accept our booking.
We are just near the mall, so it's convenient to book a grab most of the time. There's not much hassle.
After 5 minutes or so, we would take a grab taxi to the mall and head to our Sunday stop.
Here's the entrance where we would pass by every Sunday.
The facade is very inviting. The big Christmas tree is very glittery with bright Christmas balls and decorations.
There's also a grand piano, which is available for public use. I haven't taken a picture, though.
We would grab something for breakfast. The food that we'd order depends on our craving. This time around my daughter ordered a chicken sandwich with cheese at KFC.
There were a few people, so we grabbed our food in a few minutes which was very convenient.
Our morning drink is a mocha from Krispy Kreme. I'm satisfied with it because of it's rich and chocolaty flavor.
After the service, we would look forward to our family lunchtime. Whatever our lunch is, we would make sure that we would maximize this time to bond with each other.
This is our chance to catch up, chit-chat, hear silly jokes from husband, listen to the stories of our baby #1, and watch our baby #2 with her milestones.
Our lunch for today is pork dinuguan, it is pork meat with pork blood cooked with vinegar and some spices. It's very delicious!
I also ordered fish sinigang, a filipino soulp with sour and savory flavor mixed with tamarind, which is the main ingredient to make the soup sour.
I was able to devour the whole fish head and sip the soup up. I love sour soup! It makes me feel refreshed.
Nowadays, since fish is almost the same amount as meat, I rarely cook fish. So I really miss it.
After the lunch time is our stroll time with baby #2.
We had an avocado ice cream for dessert, but I'm afraid I was so focused on eating it that I didn't get the chance to snap a picture.
What's the best day of the week for our family? It's Sunday, as it's the time when we are together, chit-chat, catch up, and lots of priceless moments.
What about you? What’s you favorite day of the week?
