Hello ASEAN Hivers, it's , and this is the second week for me to do a curation featuring Southeast Asian cultural content from within the ASEAN Hive Community.
🧧🛕 Pov's Culture Corner 🕌🙇♀️
I am sorry for my English is not good, I am still learning a little from Hive and by myself online. I love reading posts in the ASEAN Hive Community because I miss my country (Cambodia). I really like to learn more about new cultures and I miss traveling in Southeast Asia.
I hope more Southeast Asians share more about the cultures of their countries so I can curate them every week. In Cambodia we have so many cultures and I would like to share with you all know about my country too. But do not live in Cambodia now, so I do not have the pictures. Some day when I go back to my hometown, I will show everyone our culture. Thank you my daughter Srey-Yuu (@KidSisters) and helping me edit this post.
Tamarind Soup - Sayur Asem
by:This chef showed us a beautiful and healthy dish from his country. This soup is new to me. I have been making so many different sour soups with different vegetables, but I have never made a sour soup with peanuts. I am sure to try this recipe some day when I get fresh corn. I love eating sour soup and I love to taste all the foods from other countries.
Senna Siamea Preparation
by:The plants and her recipe look so delicious and interesting to me, and I think you wil be interested too if you read her post. When I read her post and see the pictures my mouth began watering. This tree is similar to a tree in Cambodia, but I don’t know if they are the same or not. It has similar yellow flowers and we pickle them to eat like a salad. Its taste is so good and delicious.
Rice Fields in the Village
by:This post has pictures of beautiful rice fields. Most people in Southeast Asia grow rice following our ancestors' ways, but now some people use machines and tractors. I saw in this post it looks like the people just finished growing the rice in the fields, and soon it will be harvest time. I love to live in the countryside like this.
My Day-to-Day Activity
by:When I see this post it reminded me of my life before, both good memories and memories from a hard life too. He showed us his life in the countryside. It is the way of life of our ancestors in the past, whether they are townspeople or villagers. But now only the majority of the rural population lives this way. He is struggling but enjoys what he has. Whether we are poor or rich, we must be good people. I hope he carries this positive attitude into the future.
🎟️ Mini Delegator Raffle 🎰
