"ASEAN Hive Top 3" 🌏 October 30th - November 5th, 2023
Hi, everyone I'm back with another 3 posts from some amazing people in ASEAN Hive. The first post is made by . I have to say durians are like gold, since it is the king of fruits. Also it is so expensive and barely any meat, also the taste is very unique. My mom and almost all of my family loves durians, and sometimes when we see each other all they talk about is durians. They even brag to each other how many they have eaten over the years too. I have to say it does taste good, but the smell is not gold at all. While my dad he likes the smell the he doesn't like the taste.
The next post is made by . Her post remind me of Pchum Ben, a holiday we have in Cambodia. When it is Pchum Ben in Cambodia, the people celebrate ancestors and go to the pagoda for offerings. I think All Souls' Day in the Philippines reminds me a lot like Cambodia, it is good to always remember the people in our family before us.
The last post made by . The temple looks very beautiful, and in Cambodia we do things like that by giving monks food, necessary things, and money to the monks. Well it already pass the time where most people do that, but even not on that holiday people still give food, necessary stuffs, and money to the monks. Also I've never seen temples that are made with woods here before and the designs are so beautiful.
I found gold . OMG!
by:(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) Look what i found at the mall today? It was gold . OMG . Ok ok sorry. I just kidding . It was actually durian that being sold at the mall. I love durian. The durian season in my hometown has already ended a month ago. (If im not mistaken). The durian smell so good at their supermarket , but i can see it not as fresh as we got and pick the durian by ourself just behind the house.
A Day of Remembrance: All Saints' Day, All Souls' Day, and the Power of Tradition ❤️🙏
by:(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) As the calendar turned to November 1, 2023, my family embarked on a journey that has become a cherished tradition. All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day hold a special place in our hearts as we remember and honor our departed loved ones. This year, my elder sister, her husband and I together with my nieces joined on this poignant pilgrimage. My brother in law used their family van, we set out for the old cemetery. As we approached our destination, a scene unfolded that is unique to these days of remembrance.
