Hey there! I want to share with you our great hammocking days.
It's a privilege because my father loves to plant, so we have many trees to attach hammocks to. Thanks also to my grandmother who let my mother inherit 1800 plus square meter land. She was so generous even to the neighbors granting them each a 300 square meter land for 5000 pesos. With an area of more than 1,800 square meters, it's a pity not to plant various trees. Hammocking is just one of our family bonding activities, from nieces, nephews, cousins, siblings, and even friends who visit and camp in this area. Our legendary hammock is attached to this mango tree that bears very sweet mango fruit. The seed came from Guimaras, known for having the sweetest mangoes with excellent quality if I'm not mistaken.
This is my pretty boy cousin hammocking, capturing the beauty of the green leaves as the sun shines through. He doesn't want his face shown.
Look at these two nieces of mine enjoying the hammock while playing and laughing.
We also have an area with a soursop tree and a coconut tree beside a fish pond which is far enough away to attach the hammock. Look at that pretty big smile of my niece. Kids love to hang out here a lot.
We bring our hammocks anywhere whenever we travel especially at the beach. We could use it to take naps, lie while playing online games, or watch online movies. We love to go to the beach. It's our go-to place almost every weekend. Here's a photo of my nephew hammocking at the beach.
Here is a nostalgic throwback of the hammock from when my children, nieces, and nephews were young and enjoying playing here.
This is another group photo of my daughter and her classmates hanging out in the hammock area. They like to be here because it's windy and fresh. They study, eat snacks, and even have some alcoholic drinks here.
I headed to the hammock yesterday, but it's too muddy because it has almost rained every day since January. Pardon the mud and the mess.
Despite the mud, I still find some moments of peace and relaxation in my favorite spot. Sometimes, even the little inconveniences can't take away the joy of being close to nature.
And as of this moment, this is what it looks like now since it rained hard yesterday until night.
A lot of cherished memories were created in our favorite hammock area. They were absolutely wonderful. It's amazing how everyone enjoys the area, from camping to just relaxing in the hammock. There's nothing like the gentle sway of a hammock to help us disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nature has a way of soothing the soul and recharging our spirits.
What is your hammocking experience, Hivers? Tell me a little in your comments.
