I've been really excited to join Asean Hive's weekly challenge. I’m planning to participate as much as I can. When I checked, there was still time before the deadline, so I quickly uploaded some photos from my gallery to join in.
Now, let me share my favorite comfort food with you. I absolutely love salad; it’s my ultimate go-to for comfort. A whole medium-sized lettuce, an apple, carrots, and strips of cucumber, topped with tuna flakes and wrapped in seaweed—what a delightful meal for me!!! It's not just delicious, but also so healthy. Eating this makes me feel light and energized, and my digestive system is relaxed and happy too.

Next, an avocado and banana salad is just heaven. I also added powdered milk, a little condensed milk, and ice. Whoaaa, so refreshing.
Almost every day, I begin my meal at noon. It's a brunch. Scrambled eggs with tomatoes, and other vegetables are good. I always have a cucumber in my meal. It's one of my comfort foods. I dip it in vinegar with sliced red onion sprinkled with salt and pepper. It's crunchy and refreshing as well.
Monggo with spinach, kamote tops, bitter gourd, and squash is also one of my comfort foods. And sometimes I boil it and add some milk and brown sugar or honey.
Another salad I made is topped with a sunny-side-up egg, using the same ingredients as the salad above—lettuce, carrot, apple, and cucumber. It's so comforting.
One comfort food of mine is binignit. I don't know its English name, but it's a mixture of sweet potato, sweet plantain (saba banana), jackfruit, tropical root crop called karlang, round sticky rice, and colorful sago, sweetened with coconut sugar. It's incredibly delicious and comforting.
And of course, fried sweet potato and banana are unbeatable. It's easy to cook and prepare. Well, an ice cream is good sometimes, especially in hot weather. It's the least on the list.
And these are my comfort foods. Do we have the same comfort food?
Thank you, , for initiating the challenge. Doing the blog makes me want to eat some of the food I posted.
