One of my officemates has a daughter who turned 7, and we were invited. In the office, my co-worker gave us the invitation and the reception address. It will be held in a resort. Of course, we said yes!
On a Sunday morning, we went to the birthday reception, which was only about 20 minutes from home. My partner dropped me off here, and when I got inside, I just looked for the cottage where our party would take place.
When I got to the cottage, some of my colleagues were already there. I just greeted the birthday celebrant and gave my gift. I just bought ponytails and hair clips for her to use every day.
She already has a lot of cakes, so I thought of something simple but useful. I sat down with my colleagues and talked about random topics while we waited for other guests.
When we got the cue that we were already complete, we called the birthday celebrant to blow out her candles, and we would be singing a birthday song for her. We gathered, prayed, and greeted the celebrant. We also took group photos with her.
After the candle blowing, it is already time to eat. There are many foods, and they are all delicious. My officemate prepared all these at home. I just ate some spaghetti and rice cake for today since I am working on eating less.
Some of the guests already gone to the pool to swim and enjoy since they came with their kids. But I just stayed in the cottage because I am not into swimming at this moment, as I am having dysmenorrhea. Anyway, I just spent some time taking selfies.
Overall, it was a fun day, and the most important thing was that the birthday celebrant enjoyed her special day.
