If there's one thing about me that I really admire, it's the fact that I am not materialistic. I am not into flaunting branded clothes or fancy bags. I am more of a thrift shopper, not because I cannot afford branded items, but because I prioritize sustainability and saving money.
Recently, I was about to start my new office job. It means I need a new set of office attire, from slacks up to polo shirts. I decided to visit my favorite thrift store to find some of the clothes I might need. Although I don't plan to buy much, I've set aside some time to go there.
When I got inside, I was greeted by a sign announcing significant discounts. Most of the items are on sale, just 55 pesos each. And the bags are 60% off. That is when I started walking around looking for something to buy.
Of course, the sales staff greeted and welcomed me, asking me what I was looking for, and I just told them that I could handle myself. I don't want to be someone they assist for hours. I just continued walking around, thinking about where I should go first. It is nice that they have signage for different kinds of clothes, such as "Jeans," "Skirts," "Long Sleeves," or "Shirts." I managed to get to see Polo Shirts right away.
I even checked out the ones displayed at the top of the store to see if I liked some of them. However, since I was looking for something particular, which is office attire, I didn't look at the clothes there much, as they are primarily for casual outfits.
I spent another hour browsing clothes, and I've already added the items to my basket. I have been getting one by one and will try them on in the fitting room after. It is to ensure that everything I buy will fit perfectly for me.
I always feel happy whenever I get to buy great clothes that I can wear to the office without paying much. Although the items are from a thrift store, I can assure you that they are of good quality, and some are even branded. Indeed, a great buy!
