Hi all, this is my first post after a couple of months away from the platform. Hive's value has dropped significantly over the last several months, but that is not why I wasn't active here. A lot is happening in my life, and I couldn't find the time to be active no matter how much I wanted to be. I missed the platform and all the communities I was involved with, but I couldn't focus on so many things all at once, so something gotta give. Those of you who have family or adult commitments, I am sure you can relate to that. Anyway, I am not going to talk about all of that in this post. I want to highlight some of the celebrations that happened in my life over the past couple of months. I will write separate posts detailing each event, but these are just snippets.
❤️ Celebrating Our 16th Wedding Anniversary in November ❤️
We celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary on the 26 of November 2022. Time flies. We had known each other since our early 20s, meaning our relationship spanned over a couple of decades, and I hope it will last till the end of our days.
❤️ Celebrating 2022 Christmas With My Family In Kuching, Sarawak ❤️
We traveled to Kuching, Sarawak, to celebrate Christmas and the holidays with my family. It was a short one-week trip but a meaningful time spent with loved ones.
❤️ Celebrating My Mom's 80th Birthday On 6 January 2023 ❤️
Another meaningful celebration with my family in Kuching, Sarawak - was my mom's 80th birthday. I am so grateful we could make this trip a week after celebrating the holidays. And that means we had to travel to Kuching twice within a couple of weeks. Tiring trip, yes, but totally worth it.
❤️ Celebrating My Son's 9th Birthday ❤️
My son turns 9 on 16 January 2023, ten days after celebrating my mom's birthday. We didn't have any birthday party or anything like that but this boy was equally happy celebrating his important day with us.
❤️ The Completion of My Jang Hyuk Portrait Series ❤️
And the highlight of my artwork. I completed 10 portrait drawings for my Jang Hyuk Portrait Series in time for his birthday on 20 December 2022. But this will not be the last time I draw his portrait since he has become my muse and spurs me to pick up my pencils after being stuck in a rut for more than a year.
There is more great news related to my art. I will be involved in a huge fundraising project with 3 other Malaysian artists this year starting in February. I will talk more about the details in one of my upcoming posts.
