I can fully understand the problem as I have size 14 or 15 feet depending on the brand of shoe. I struggle in the Western world the same as you would in the East. It has got so bad I have to travel to Paris these days to a specialist shop if I need footwear. The online purchasing like you said does not work and if I need a new pair I have to repurchase exactly the same shoe to guarantee the shoe size is correct or travel half way across the world. I am fine for the next year or so, but another trip will have to happen and will purchase another 4 or 5 pairs next time. $200 is pricy as I have to pay in the region of $100-120 and for the right shoe will pay $200 if I have to due to lack of having a choice. I am sick and tired of taking what is available because they are always weird colors and not what I really want and when you see something you like it is often not cheap.
My brother in law was in China and it was slightly colder than he expected and needed to buy a jacket which he could not find as he is rather large being a good 3 x large or 4 x large person lol. He never stood a chance and bought a blanket instead.
