Hello Asean people, how are you today ?, i hope everyone is ok and enjoy this day
The weather is currently very hot, especially in Indonesia. Especially during the day, and it really makes me really don't want to leave the house even for a moment. This hot weather has just changed from the rainy season, precisely in April which marks the shift from the rainy season to summer.
Because of this, I don't do much outdoor activities. But for today, I did some cleaning with my brother. I do activities to clean my fish pond which has not been cleaned in a long time. It's a bit tiring, especially since I'm fasting, but little by little we're still working on it.
If you're want to see my fun, let's see what I did to clean my fish pond today.
Our first step to starting today's cleaning activities was to drain my pool water which was already green and filled with moss. My pond is not that big, I made it elongated to fit a few fish into it and I think the fish there are a little crowded because of their large size.
While waiting for the pond water to drain, we also used the receding pond water to move the fish to another places that we filled with clean water. The goal is that the fish do not die because we will empty the pond and will clean it thoroughly. By moving them, we can also see the physical condition of the fish clearly and we are happy to see they have grown big. LOL
The fish that I keep in my pond consist of tilapia, carp, and the like. This fish is very easy to care for and can grow very large up to the size of an adult thigh. What we need to do is take care of the food and clean the pool if the pool feels very dirty. Sometimes I also see the people who keep these fish take really good care of them to give them vitamins and checks all the time, but I don't do anything like that and I think they will be fine and still grow as big as we hoped.
When moving, we had a little trouble because this fish is very powerful and fights when we want to catch it. On the other hand, their bodies are very slippery and agile, allowing them to escape easily from our grip. Then, to outsmart us, we had to use fishing nets to move them to a place where we filled with clean water.
We also move the small fish to the same place. There were many kinds of small fish in the pond and I didn't even know their names and types. We mix a lot of different types of fish that we get into this pond, so we sometimes forget which fish we have mixed.
Last year while cleaning this pond, we even found an ornamental fish in this pond, and luckily the fish was still alive and we transferred it to the aquarium immediately.
With less and less water, we can see small fish hiding at the bottom of the pond and we can pick them up easily. These small fish are also very agile and run around and make it difficult for us to catch and move them. Besides, we don't have a small net to catch these small fish, so like it or not, we have to pick them up one by one.
We brushed the entire surface of the pool thoroughly which had been covered by thick moss. My sister and I take turns brushing it, and it's the most tiring thing in broad daylight. We had to brush it well so that all the moss could be removed, and we used a brush with a long handle to make our job easier. Sometimes for moss that is very difficult to clean, we use a little cleaning fluid so that the moss can be removed quickly. The moss in the corner of the pool also made our job even more difficult, we even had to use an old toothbrush to clean hard-to-reach areas.
When cleaning it, we saw a lot of green liquid produced when we brushed the walls of the pool which indicated the moss was very thick, and this was what we had to clean.
The slippery and mossy surface of the pool also made us have to be more careful when stepping on it so that we didn't fall and get injured. We sometimes cling to the iron railing beside the pool and sometimes choose not to step on it. But my brother did it very well, she didn't even lose the slightest bit of balance even though I could tell she was limping on a very slippery and wet surface.
After brushing it clean, we again watered it thoroughly so that all the moss had come out through the drain and we could see the sides of the pool that were still full of moss. If we don't water it, we won't know which places are still plastered with moss and which places are only affected by the moss that we cleaned earlier, for that by watering it, the moss that only sticks when we brush it will also be flushed with the water we flush and the moss the one that hasn't been brushed is still green and we'll be brushing that side again until the green is gone.
And here we go...
We have finished everything, and put the fish back into the pond. We also filled it with new clean water and it took time for the water to be full in the pool. You can see the clarity of the water, and you can even see the fish swimming in it. This fish pond cleaning process took 3 hours and we did it in broad daylight and we fasted, it was a very tiring job. But we are satisfied with the result and it becomes a bit of fun to see the final result.
So, here's our activity for the day, hope you like it. Thank you and see you in another post.
Terimakasih dan sampai jumpa...
