Hello everyone! I’m Emjey, a 34-year-old mom to two amazing little boys. Teaching has always been a big part of who I am. I love helping others learn and discovering new things myself. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work in both private and public education, and it’s been an incredible journey that’s shaped so much of my life. 🌻
I graduated from Adamson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and began my teaching journey in a private school, where I spent three amazing years. Eventually, I found my way into the public sector, dedicating a decade to nurturing young minds. Teaching always felt like my true calling, but life had a different path in store for me. After ten years with public school, I faced one of the hardest decisions of my life—I chose to leave the classroom to focus on my newborn child. It wasn’t an easy choice, but it was one made with love and a deep sense of purpose. 💕
Now, I’ve found a new rhythm in life. As an ESL teacher, I get to connect with students from all over the world, guiding them as they grow in their English skills while still doing what I love. Balancing motherhood and teaching isn’t always easy, but it’s a journey that fills my heart in ways I never expected.
Through it all, my faith in the Lord keeps me grounded. He is the reason I am here, and I hold on to His guidance every step of the way. Every Sunday, I find peace and purpose at church, where I not only worship but also get the chance to teach the children -- a role that brings me so much joy.
I genuinely love food and enjoy every bite -- it’s one of life’s simplest but greatest pleasures!
When I’m not working, I happily lean into my introverted side. There’s nothing better than getting lost in a good book, slipping into different worlds without ever leaving my cozy little corner. I also absolutely love coffee, even though I'm acidic -- I just can’t resist it!
I'm a big music lover, and I can’t go a day without listening to it. I enjoy Christian bands like Hillsong, Victory Worship, and Switchfoot, but I also have a soft spot for emo bands like Paramore, All-American Rejects, and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
This blog is my little space to share the things that matter most to me -- teaching, parenting, book reviews, and the beautiful, messy reality of being a working mom. If you’re on a similar journey, I hope you find something here that speaks to you, makes you feel understood, or simply brings a little warmth to your day. 💛
