Have you ever tried to save money for something, to buy a thing or pay for the activity that you wanted to join for the first time? Whatever the purpose is, have you tried using your hard saved money for that goal?
Just wanna share with you a diligent saver who had just fulfilled his purpose for saving money, he used 2 cardboard container that looks like the tissue cartoon holder separated to save for the 20 Philippine peso coins and the other one for 10 pesos coins in which he did for just one month. No need to buy expensive piggy bank that is breakable just a simple cardboard is already enough.
He asked me to group the 20 peso by 5 pieces to form a hundred and 10 peso coins by 10 pieces also for a hundred. Older brother told me to put scotch tape on each group of 10's for the ten peso coins and also did the same for the group of 5's for the twenty peso coins.
It was fun and motivating to help elder brother counting his saved money, it was like a challenge accepted kind of thing that I also wanted to try for myself.
Kuya just recycled the DIY or do-it-yourself coin bank that he used for another batch of savings, practically he just used scissors to cut a portion wherein the coins could all be counted then tape that portion again so he could continue using it for new savings.
Saving money is a lifesaver. I could say that savers are smart people and it takes diligence, patience and perseverance to do it.
Kuya was able to raise his target money to pay for the event that he wanted to join.
I am thinking of doing the same thing as I believe it gives a rewarding feeling and fulfilling at the same time that you are able to hit your target goal, the reason why you saved money in the first place.
I also tried saving money before using the wooden coin bank but I was not able to continue it as the termite attacked it.
I haven't tried using the cardboard though but I think it is worth a try.
