and others is a kind of good and enjoyable contest.
I would like to share my few ideas as well as the beauty of the our place because of the bamboos and how it helps to us here a lot. Here in the country [Philippines], there are a lot of bamboos can be seen in different places particularly in the Province. Most of the bamboos can be seen near at the river because it helps to prevent the place from being eroded. The place can be also a relaxing one of it contains this kind of plants. It can gives shady areas, coolness and freshness of the place specially the air we breathed.
There are few kinds of bamboos located here in our place and one of it is this. We called this bamboo, BONTUNG. This is very perfect for making post for the fence. Mostly this kind of bamboo can be planted near at the river or the streams. Thw stem of this bamboo contains many tiny roots scattered on the place.
This is what we called, Balatakan. This is very perfect for housing porpuses just like floors, walls and sometimes rooftops. This is also good for fence porpuses and this is slightly hard to cut because it grows in a bunch. We always planted this kind of bamboo because it helps our place to become cool and relaxing always. The dried leaves out of this bamboo is also good organic fertilizer use. Also, this is good for mosquito repellent. This kind of bamboo is also good for making chairs, center tables and cabinets.
The last but not the least is this kind of bamboo named Balatakan. We used to plant this near at the clift so that the soil will not be eroded. This is not really good for house porpuses and it can only used as poles and firewoods.
There are also interesting and fascinating products oit of this bamboo and one of it is by making baskets, lanterns, frames and even flutes. This are some of the most fascinating things can be made out of bamboo plants.
This is the bamboo sprout or we called it DABONG. This is one of the most exotic and expensive food here in our place. There are a lot of uses of the bamboo and we are very glad to have this kind of plants here in the Province.
