Hello my dear Hivers from the community. I hope you're all well and safe.
For this week’s challenge, “Hello Yellow!” I decided to take a little tour around our home to find things that shine in this bright, happy color. I never realized how much yellow is actually around us until I started looking! Each yellow thing I found has its own small story and connection to our everyday life. Come on let's go!
First, the one that instantly caught my attention was my daughter’s hello kitty yellow dress. She wore it today, twirling around the living room like she's wearing a beautiful gown. Seeing her in that dress reminds me of the joy and warmth children bring. Her laughter is so much like sunshine that fills every corner of our home.
Next was a yellow plastic cup, one of our kitchen regulars. It’s simple but sturdy, often used during snack times or quick gulps of water after play. Somehow, its bright color makes even a plain drink look cheerful.
Then I spotted my father’s yellow sprayer the one he uses for his corn and banana plants. It’s always there in the corner for recharging. For me it's a silent reminder of his daily hard work on the farm. That sprayer though ordinary represents his dedication and the hope for every fruitful harvest.
My little son, on the other hand, has his yellow teethers. First one is shaped like a banana and the second is a bee.
It’s adorable and funny how both perfectly match his growing curiosity about everything he can hold and chew!
And of course a Filipino home isn’t complete without the iconic Magic Sarap seasoning with its bright yellow packaging. It’s the secret ingredient behind many delicious home-cooked meals.
Lastly, lying around the play area, I found a yellow toy gun, a favorite of my daughter as it is a gift from my brother last Christmas. It's bullet is a plastic stick with a vacuum so it sticks wherever it's pointed.
This “Hello, Yellow!” challenge made me realize that yellow isn’t just a color. It’s a reflection of warmth, happiness and everyday life. It’s in our meals, our laughter, our family moments. That tiny bits of color that brighten our days.
That's all for today. Thanks for reading this far. Til my next post!
