Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno has just announced the top 50 best tourist villages in Indonesia at the Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI). From Aceh, represented by Gampong Nusa, in Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar.
The head of the Nusa Tourism Institute, Nurhayati Muhammad, said that since the 2010 tsunami, the village has risen, so that the existence of this national level award makes the village residents happy. “The response of the people in Gampong Nusa, all the people here are very grateful and proud. Some even ask, what else to do to make Nusa Village more beautiful and prettier,” said Nurhayati Muhammad, as quoted by Serambinews.com, some time ago.
To develop Gampong Nusa, as the best tourist village in Indonesia, Sandiaga Uno also entrusted Prof Azril Azahari, General Chair of the Indonesian Tourism Intellectuals Association, to make Gampong Nusa a tourism village in the category of disaster education.
The arrival of Sandiaga Uno to Gampong Nusa was greeted directly with the saman dance, ratoh jaroe and seudati as a typical Acehnese dance. In this former tsunami tourist village, Sandi can still watch children's traditional games
