Hello everyone! Today is Sunday but we went to the Robinson's Mall to register for election. It's been 10 years I didn't vote for elections, so I was removed at the master list. It means that I need to register at the COMELEC (Commission on Election) again.
I'm a voter of Butuan, but the last time I voted was at the different barangay in the city. Because we moved into our new house in a different barangay, I wanted to register again but will transfer into a different barangay where I live now. Yet, when we went there at the mall, they wouldn't register a voter who wants to transfer to another place. They just accept an old voter to register again and those new voters which are the young ones or new generations. Anyway, in the picture is the hallway of the mall where the paintings are displayed. We were on our way to the COMELEC.
This place is a lobby that people love to relax. After we failed to register at the COMELEC for transfer, we stayed there with the kids. Going back to the topic of a voter's registration and transferring, I have realised how important our votes are. Honestly, here in my place, all people are rich after election. The mall is full of shoppers like it is everyone's monthly pay of their salaries. Felt like I'm the only one who is moneyless because I didn't vote. Sad to say but, here in my place, it's been a new culture where during elections, every politician invests a big amount of money to buy votes. A poor politician will not win ever. Every politician's victory depends on how much money he got. Some people lambast those kind of politicians, but I bet it's hypocrisy because I discovered it before. I believed that what I worshipped was different than the others, but during the election where I last voted, he paid my entire neighborhood and my family. We were was paid 1,500 pesos each. Well, there is no clean politician afterall. People's vote can be bought by money too. It is but human nature to be practical because everything in this world isn't free.
In the pictures are my niece in a yellow pant-set and my baby in pink dress beside her. They love to sit down on the grassy matt with a cold temperature. During brown out, we use to come here at the Robinson's Mall because the aircon is free and it's comfortable to sit down while looking at the kids enjoying the environment. We would gather here with snacks and we're not the only family that do it. Bystanders love to relax here while waiting for something elses. Instead of going home immediately after failing to register in COMELEC, we stayed here for an hour while watching the kids having fun and it's heartwarming to see them enjoying instead of staying at home with gadget.
My niece and my baby likes the fries so much. It has a juice inside. My baby is a picky eater, but I was happy that she liked the fries potato with cheese. My friend advised me that, if I'd bring Pointy (my baby) at the mall, I should give her a food to enjoy so that she will not wander away from me. Well, she behaved today. I remember that time when we went to the different mall such as Gaisano Mall and she was gone for 20 seconds. I was nervous and until now, I'm traumatized. She loved wandering away from me when we're going out especially at the mall which the escalators and some sort of strangers are.
While we were relaxing at the lobby, Poinsettia ran away from me going to the playhouse where there is 150 per hour payment for each kid that gets in. She led me there and begged me if we could come inside. Then, she saw the Tom's World statue and her attention to the playhouse was diverted there. She really loves the Tom's World place. She immediately rode at the tiny carousel, but I only brought 40 pesos money. My sister-in-law took the coin to exchange another coin of TOM'S WORLD. Yet, she didn't tell me that she doesn't know how the machine works, so my money was just dropped at the machine without spitting coin. Poinsettia was crying as she was very excited, but the money was gone. I immediately carried her going to the car to avoid annoying the guests.
Anyway, I must end up here. How are you? Bye.
