Hi ASean friends, how are you all? Today I cooked my daughter's favorite menu. My children's favorite menu is fried noodles. It seems that not only children but all ages also like noodles. There are many kinds of noodles and pasta, the way they are prepared is different in each country, each has its own characteristics. In Indonesia, noodles can be found everywhere, both in street food and in many restaurants serving processed noodles with various variations.
On the island of Java, specifically Jogja, there is Bakmi Jawa which is famous for its characteristic fried noodles and boiled noodles with free-range chicken and the cooking method is slightly soft. In Central Java there is Mi Ayam, which is a noodle dish with sweet soy sauce chicken and vegetables and many other noodle preparations.
This time I made fried noodles with Chinese style spices. Maybe if there are friends here who come from China, you can give me input on this recipe to make it better. Usually the fried noodles in Chinese cuisine are mixed with meat, fish balls, shrimp, various seafood and chicken, but this time what I made was just simple noodles that only use noodles with vegetables. PREPARATION / INGREDIENTS
230 gr curly noodles
2 pcs bok choy
1 pc carrot
GROUND SPICES
12 g garlic
10 g red onion
1 candlenut
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp flavoring (optional)
SAUCE INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp fish sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil (add at the end of cooking)
HOW TO MAKE :
Boil the noodles in boiling water. Cook until cooked but not too cooked, approximately 3 - 5 minutes depending on the type of noodles used.
Once the noodles are cooked, remove from heat and drain, then mix the noodles with the sauce ingredients except sesame oil.
Grind the spices then set aside.
Cut the bok choy vegetables with carrots.
Heat the oil then saute the ground spices until fragrant.
Add the noodles that have been mixed with the sauce ingredients, stir evenly then add just a little water, approximately 100 ml.
Stir the noodles evenly, let them soak and add the vegetables, stir until cooked.
Before the fried noodles are completely cooked, add the sesame oil and stir evenly, then turn off the stove and Fried vegetable noodles are ready to be served.
