Hi, ASEAN Hive Community! I am so late joining today's weekly challenge because I thought I didn't have blue photos. I also went on checking other people's entries to get some inspiration.
I was thinking, where have I been in the past when there was so much blue in my photos? So, I need to check my portable hard drive and I was thinking about El Nido, Palawan.
Island Hopping in El Nido, Palawan
With the photos I have, I'll bring you back to the past in September 2014. It was my first time flying to Palawan. I flew from Cebu to Puerto Princesa then took a van ride to El Nido in the north of Palawan.
One of the activities you can do in El Nido is to join the island-hopping. If I remember I took the Island Tour A. I met other travelers along the way. It was such a good day and we had the best blue skies all throughout the day. Thankfully, the storm passed by already.
I never had an underwater camera so I rented one good for this island hopping trip for only PHP 600 or about $11. It was all so worth it and I never regretted borrowing or renting an underwater camera.
Look at the blue skies and the blue sea. Trust me, it was one of the best days of my life as a traveler. I felt so lucky I was able to visit El Nido, Palawan, and discover the natural beauty of the 'Last Frontier'.
So, let's check out underwater. This guy was such a good swimmer I couldn't help but take a snapshot of him. I wasn't a good swimmer in the past so I couldn't swim like this.
While swimming with a life jacket, here is a photo I took of the underwater. You can see the corals and the fishes.
I asked another traveler to take a photo of me while swimming with my life jacket. That time, I promised myself to learn how to swim and how to go underwater.
By the way, if you're interested to read another article below, it was me doing a FREEDIVE while I was pregnant.

Although I rented an underwater camera, I also brought my Nikon D5100 with me. Yes, I was very crazy I had two cameras with me and I wanted to take a lot of photos during this trip. This photo is also perfect for this week's blue theme as well as I was wearing a blue bikini. The boat had a blue rubber footing on it as this is to avoid accidents.
The photo served as a profile photo on September 30, 2014, on social media called FB.
I hope you enjoyed my blue theme entry for this week and also enjoyed the sights of El Nido, Palawan in this blog post. Let me know if have you been to El Nido. If not, are you interested to visit?
