A PSA : Look up for the Air Drops JAN.6
Hello Crypto friends.
January 6th is just a day away, so it is important to take note of a few things. What are these things you ask? Well dear friend, Air Drops are coming to you if you hold liquid or staked HIVE.
Chances are good you already know what they are. However, if not, this is a PSA JUST for you. Let's review some details and talk about what's going on.
I will also drop the disclaimer, that all the information in this article is what I know, it may not be 100% correct, so do your own research as well.
Let's first talk about basics and some terms.
What is an airdrop?
An airdrop is the act of giving away free digital or physical products to people without expecting anything in return. Airdrops are usually done by Blockchain-based organizations to help promote their project. Most times, all you need to do is log in and claim your air drops.
What is a snapshot?
This is another term you will read in the post. A Snapshot is a record of an account balance on a set date and time. Think of it like a photograph taken of your wallet.
In this case, the snapshot will happen (*At least as I understand it), on the total HIVE wallet balance, on your staked and liquid HIVE, that is IN your account on January 6th. So, if you have HIVE on Binance or Bitrex or another exchange, you may need to port it over to HIVE for the snapshot date.
I highly doubt that any major exchanges will distribute the tokens to you, so be safe and send your HIVE to your account for the day.
What's dropping on HIVE on the 6th?
Two great projects are coming that could shake up HIVE and bring in some explosive growth.
SPK Network | LARYNX Miner Claim drop

January 6th, 2022 at midnight PST. Based on your HIVE (Staked and Liquid), you will get a 1:1 air drop of the `LARYNX Miner' token.
Once a month, you will need to log into the desktop SPK app to claim the tokens. This airdrop will run for 1 year, so each month you will have 30 days to make your claim. So, 12 potential claims.
I assume if you had 12,000 HIVE on the 6th, you could claim 1000 LARYNX Miner tokes a month for 12 months.

Ragnarok NFT CardGame
January 6th, 2022 at midnight PST. Based on your HIVE (Staked and Liquid), you will get NFT cards for this game.
I have read some mixed messages if the airdrop based on every 10 HIVE or every 100 HIVE you hold would equate to 1 NFT card in the game, or another, but no matter, holding more HIVE equates to you getting more cards.
The claim date for this airdrop, and HOW to claim it, is at this time, "TBD". However, the snapshot is happening on the 6th as well.

Should you make the effort to stack up HIVE for the 6th?
While this is NOT financial advice and absolutely just my option, I think yes!
Reasons :
- HIVE is a gem that is not discovered when games like this drop and networks like SPK are born, eye take a look.
- NFT Games are big now, and this has the potential to shake up the NFT game market like AXIE did.
- Sending HIVE around is cheap to do and fast, so why not dump it on to the platform on the 6th, then on the 7th take it back off.

There are many other reasons as well. Just look at the initial cost of Splinterlands cards, and where they are today. The amount of effort needed, and the pay-off is, again, in my option, greatly slanted towards a profitable adventure.
