Hey there, lovely people! I'm JeanieViv84, your friendly, not-so-average high school teacher from the Philippines! I’m 41, but don’t let the age fool you—I'm still rocking life like it’s my teenage years (minus the acne and the “who am I?” phase, thank goodness). Let me tell you a little about myself so you can get to know the woman behind the blog.
So, I’m a high school teacher. Yes, I know—what a saint, right? Just kidding! But seriously, teaching is my passion. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a light bulb go off in a student's head when they finally get something. Sure, it’s a struggle sometimes, especially with the teenage drama, but hey—it's all part of the job. And let’s be real, I wouldn’t trade it for anything (except maybe a vacation to a tropical island, but we all have our dreams).
Now, I do have to confess—I’m kind of a tough teacher. I mean, I’m kind, of course, but if you're rude? You’ll definitely see the Aquarius side of me. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll teach you, I’ll guide you, and I’ll be your biggest supporter. But rude people? Well, let’s just say that my patience is like a rubber band—it stretches but it will eventually snap, and that’s when my sass comes out. I’m not proud of it... okay, maybe just a little.
Now, let’s talk about my other passion. I’ve been recycling and creating new things out of scraps for years! If you’ve ever thrown away an old bottle, magazine, or piece of fabric, I’m the one who’d look at it and go, “Oh, I could make a purse out of that!” Yeah, I’m that person. If something can be saved from the trash, you better believe I’m there with my scissors, glue gun, and a serious Pinterest addiction.
There’s just something so fulfilling about giving old stuff a second chance at life. It’s like I’m doing my part for the planet while being the queen of DIY projects. And hey, some of my creations actually look pretty good (I’ll let you judge that when you see my latest masterpiece).
When I’m not being a teacher or crafting, I love spending time with my family. They’re my everything. Seriously, no matter how crazy life gets, my kids and my loved ones are the ones who keep me grounded. We have our ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade them for the world. My family and I share an unbreakable bond, and there’s nothing like a weekend at the beach or a cozy night in with them to remind me what life is really about.
But hey, I’m not just all about family time (though it’s my favorite!). I also love nature. I can spend hours just wandering through forests, breathing in the fresh air, and listening to the calming sounds of the world around me. Whether it's hiking through mountains or simply sitting by the ocean, nature recharges my soul. And, every now and then, I get the travel bug. I’ve been to a few places, and I can't wait for more adventures. Meeting new people and discovering new cultures is one of the most exciting parts of life.
I’ve been through a lot in my 41 years—life has thrown its fair share of curveballs my way. From hardships to struggles, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. But here's the thing: I’m an optimist. I’ve learned to keep fighting through the tough times because I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes we don't understand why things happen, but I believe there's always a lesson to be learned. That’s the mindset that keeps me going.
Also, let’s not forget my love for writing, music, and poetry. I write poems in my spare time (when I’m not rescuing old bottles and turning them into art), and music is my escape. I may not be a professional singer (trust me, no one wants to hear that), but there’s something so cathartic about belting out a song when no one’s around.
So there you have it! A little peek into my life as a teacher, crafter, nature lover, and optimist. I’m here to inspire, make you laugh, and share the things that make life a little bit brighter. And, of course, I’m always open to meeting new people and discovering new things, so feel free to drop a comment, share your thoughts, or just say “hi”!
Remember, life isn’t always perfect, but as long as we have our families, a little creativity, and the belief that everything happens for a reason, we’re doing just fine.
Thanks for reading, and I’ll catch you in the next post!
