Staying at a five-star hotel for one night is not enough. I told my husband we need one more night to fully enjoy all the amenities that this resort could offer but our pockets were crying so we just have to take advantage of the time that we had at that moment.
The previous day was all about familiarizing the place, we toured around with a D.Throne, although it was just me and the little one who was on the wheels, the husband preferred to take videos and photos of us while we were moving. I suggested a few times that we should exchange and he can man the electric car but he disliked the idea.
Being all tired from the walk, this resort is huge that walking from our room to the pool takes a lot of time and it was not a good idea to stay at the first building which was a bit of a distance from the pool but anyway, the view was nice from here, we primarily requested for an oceanview so this was what we got.
On our second day, we witnessed a beautiful sunrise! It was after all nice to be on the tenth floor seeing the beautiful skyline with the sun peaking plus there was rain at the far distance, I am always mesmerized by this scene.
I can't help but just cherish that moment. I embraced my baby and husband, we hugged and kissed, and of course, took a lot of photos. It's a blessing to be given this opportunity to enjoy this moment!
I intentionally set the alarm to 5 AM and just a few minutes after I got out of bed, the sunrise was about to show up. I woke up the husband and as soon as he rose, the baby was awakened too!
There's rain at the distance and the sun was also on the horizon, I don't usually get to see this scenario every day so it was nice capturing it while it lasts! We all know that sunrise occurs really fast and in just a blink of an eye, it was already behind the morning clouds!
We didn't go back to sleep, instead, we took advantage of this time to go to the beach! The pools open at seven in the morning and thought it would be nice to take photos around while there are no people at the pool area too but first, we have to get the baby to enjoy the sand and sea!
Here are some photos of the view from our room's terrace. We also saw birds flying nearby but it was so hard to capture them with an 85mm lens!
It was a lovely day, the sun was covered by the could which means, softer light! We took some photos of the boats at Mactan Island's shore as well as the neighboring Olango Island! There are boats going from Mactan to Olango too!
There are other resorts too nearby, in fact, if you check the map, you'll see a lot of them just in line with JPark Resort. I have been to some of these resorts especially the Shangrila Hotel which is also a five-star hotel.
We walked from our room toward the beach area. It took us time and we found other guests were already at the beach! But this area here is just an artificial beach shore because the actual beach is still a few steps down and is really rocky. The resort had just filled up this part with fine sand!
I took a photo of the husband and Matti with this JPark Island sand castle. I was amazed at it at first because they were able to build one on this artificial shore but then after checking it further, this was just a castle made of cardboard and they were covered with sand!
We headed down to the actual beach shore and here's what we got: pebbly and rocky! But it didn't stop Matti from playing! We brought with us his beach toys, some shovel, and a cart to keep him busy! It was effective! I wish I could join them but I had my monthly visitor at that time, bummer!
Matti was testing the waters first before he went into the deeper portion. I believe the water was warm so he didn't cry while in it. He still can't take cold water, he always requests for me to add hot water to his bathtub during his daily baths.
After swimming and enjoying the water which was clean, since more and more guests were already at the beach and it was almost seven in the morning, we decided to roam around and take photos so we can go to the pool too.
This one above is the beach pool which has a beachlike shoreline and is connected to the Amazon River & Wave Pool. It's 3.5 ft or 1.1 meters in depth and is only operating between 9 AM – 6 PM daily.
It has a clear view of the resort's buildings with lounges around the side. It is also just next to the water slides!
So just turning around a little bit, we now have a view of the resort's water slides. There;s an Open Body Slide which gives a smooth glide, soft landing and just the right amount of thrill for those who want to try it.
Tube Slide is Jpark’s longest slide! A gripping ride through what feels like a colorful wormhole in space. And the Space Bowl, which has its dash begins in a steep downward slide that plunges you spiraling into a bowl, and “flushes” in a 6.4 ft. deep pool.
These slides are only operating between 10 AM – 6 PM. There is no age limit for all giant slides but the guests should sign a waiver to use the slides. Children below 18 years must be signed up by a parent or guardian.
This one here is the Wave Pool which gives the sensation of beach waves in this artificial tide pool, however, the waves were not yet visible in this photo because it will open up only at nine in the morning. Its dept is 3.5 feet.
We headed towards the Amazon River! This is a really nice because the guests can just use a floater then relax and let the current take them on a leisurely ride. It is connected to the wave pool!
It looks serene just looking at the river. When this opens up, it is always filled with guests on their floaters just like yesterday. It is also very noisy so I am not sure how they can relax, perhaps because they don't need to exert much effort in swimming, the water flow will just bring carry them to the end of the river!
Here's the Toddler’s Pool where toddlers can have fun! There are slides in it and the tub at the top gets filled with water that it splashes as it gets heavy! It would be nice to get Matti in there once it opens but we were concerned because the husband has activities with the company that morning and I can't accompany the baby due to my situation.
Now we reached this part here and we were already hungry! It's almost seven in the morning. Our breakfast is a buffet one at The Abalone. I will talk about our breakfast in a separate article instead.
We walked further to where their other activities are located, JPark offers many other leisure activities such as the Mini Golf, Go Kart & Giant Chess. They also have Water Bike and a Gym & Fitness Center.
Can you see the giant chess? There's a Go Kart area around it too. It requires appointment beforehand if you want to try the carts!
We walked towards Jpark Island Pool. This is the main pool and it opens the earliest at seven. But before that, we appreciated the nice view of the path going there. I took some snaps and really love the vibe here because of the trees and flowers around.
Finally, we reached the island pool and since it was already opened, there were also a few guests at a different part of the pool. This is not too deep, it was just 3.5 ft to 5 ft or 1.2 meters to 1.5 meters in depth.
The island pool comes with a water walk activity for children, water basketball, water volleyball, mini-waterfalls & swim-up pool bar. The husband and baby went playing basketball too while I took a lot of photos of them as well as videos!
Obviously, I was feeling jealous that I can't swim in the pool right now. But I am happy seeing Matti very happy and was enjoying every inch of this morning time! After 20 minutes, I suggested we go back to our room and dry ourselves for breakfast and the husband agreed, I guess they had enough water time that morning that my baby slept right away after breakfast!
