Happy Saturday Hivers!
Grapes are one of my favorite fruits. Whether they’re purple or green, I really enjoy any variety of grapes. There was one time when I ate too many, and I suddenly felt a really bad headache and ended up falling asleep. My mom told me that I probably overate grapes, which is why my head started to ache.
This morning, my brother went to the grocery store and bought some grapes. Of course, I got excited as soon as I saw them. I immediately took them out of the container, grabbed some vinegar and water, and started washing them. I’m not sure if you wash your grapes this way too.
I placed the grapes in a large bowl, then added water and vinegar and left them to soak for about five minutes. This is how I usually wash grapes to help remove chemicals, pesticides, and germs. It may not remove everything completely, but at least some of it is reduce.
After soaking them for about 15 minutes, I rinsed the grapes thoroughly. Whenever we have grapes at home, I really prefer to be the one who washes them. Sometimes my brother just rinses them with water and doesn’t soak them in a vinegar solution first.
For me, taking a little extra time to wash grapes properly is worth it, especially since I really enjoy eating them. It gives me peace of mind knowing that they are cleaner and safer to eat. At the end of the day, it’s better to be careful than to regret it later. How about you, what’s your way of washing grapes?
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
