Hello everyone. Chiang Rai, the northernmost province of Thailand. This province has many interesting and beautiful attractions. Especially the many temples in Chiang Rai. Some temples are beautiful and famous for both locals and foreigners. Such as Wat Rong Khun, Wat Huai Pla Kang, Wat Rong Suea Ten and others. And today I want to share one of the temples in Chiang Rai province. This temple is called Wat Mueang Mun Bun Rueang Khiri.
Wat Mueang Mun Bun Rueang Khiri is another temple that is beautiful and looks grand. Unfortunately, not many tourists know about this temple. This temple was recently built about 21 years ago or in the year A.D. 2002. And Wat Mueang Mun Bun Rueang Khiri is also known as Wat Nam Tok.
Wat Mueang Mun Bun Rueang Khiri is located in Namtok Tad Thong Village, Pa Tung Subdistrict, Mae Chan District, Chiang Rai Province. This temple is approximately 30 kilometers from Chiang Rai Airport and approximately 229 kilometers from Chiang Mai Airport.
This trip, I traveled to this temple with my family. I drove from my house in Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai to this temple, which is about 106 kilometers from our house, 2 days ago. Along the way on the Fang - Mae Chan highway before reaching the temple. We saw the grand pagoda of the temple from a distance. This temple is on a country road. Even though we don't know the route. But when you see the grand pagoda. I can drive to the temple by looking at the pagoda.
When we arrived at the temple. This temple has 2 areas. We walked around the area with the buddha image hall (viharn), ordination hall (ubosot) and pavilion first. The first area's architecture is mostly on the hill. I don't know which architecture is the buddha image hall (viharn), the ordination hall (ubosot) or the pavilion. Because all architectures are built similarly and have similar sizes. Take a look at the atmosphere in the temple in the first area. Let's go.
The name plate of Wat Mueang Mun Bun Rueang Khiri area the wall. And on the wall were many mini gold color pagodas.

When walking into the temple, it is a courtyard. The highlight of the first area is that all the architecture is built and decorated in the Lanna art style, combining Tai-Yai art. On the left there is a small pavilion. Inside the pavilion there is a buddha image.

When walking past this pavilion, there will be another architecture. Which is built and decorated in the Lanna art style combined with Tai-Yai art too. And inside this architecture, there is a buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara, created in the Lanna art style combined with Tai-Yai art as well.

As we walk past, we will see another architecture in the Lanna art style combined with TaiYai art too. But this architecture will be smaller than the first architecture. And in front of this architecture is large buddha image in the attitude of subduing Mara, created in the Lanna art style combined with Tai-Yai art.

As we walked from the temple entrance area, on the right side there was a balcony with local jars leading to the restrooms.

Another interesting thing in this area is that there are many cabbage plants.

Then we walked up the stairs to another floor. This staircase has an arch built like a buddha image hall (viharn) or ordination hall (ubosot). And in front of the arch are two lion statues. Also while walking up the stairs, we saw a large local jars.

On the second and third floors there is architecture in the Lanna style combined with many TaiYai arts. Which I'm not sure about as well. What architectures are these? Because at that time there were no monks or local people. Therefore, I cannot inquire about all the architecture.

This is almost the entire atmosphere in the first area of the temple that we were able to walk around. Then we walked around the second area of the temple, Which is opposite a country road. Take a look at the atmosphere in the second area of the temple. Let's go.
Before entering Area 2 we will see the name plate of the pagoda, which is the main highlight of this temple. And the entrance to the second area has an arch built like a buddha image hall (viharn) or ordination hall (ubosot).

Inside the second area, some of the area are under construction. The second area has a very large and tall pagoda. This pagoda is larger than any temple I have ever visited. It was a very grand and enormous pagoda. And the foundation of the pagoda is a large square hall. Unfortunately, this pagoda is still not completely built. This pagoda is called Phra That Si Wiao Mun.

In addition to the main pagoda, there are many small pagodas and balconies surrounding this main pagoda. Which is built in the Lanna art style combining TaiYai art as well.

The area around the grand pagoda also has many sculptures and these sculptures built in the Lanna art style combining TaiYai art too. For example, the statue similar to a sphinx but with the head of an angel in Tai-Yai art, buddha statues in Tai-Yai art style and others. These are some of the sculptures.

I was unable to photograph the entire atmosphere. Because this area is under construction. For example, inside the balcony that surrounds the grand pagoda, Inside the grand pagoda and behind the pagoda.
