Hello Hivers. March 26 is my husband's natal day but he has to work because it is Wednesday. So he left home at 8 in the morning and I do the household chores. I was expecting him to go home after lunch but he is alone at the office waiting for someone to look after when he leaves.
So I decided to go to the grocery store to buy all the things for his birthday party. I already made a list in my note day by day so I won't forget important groceries. I headed myself by 3pm and I know it's already late to start it so I quickly buy everything and guess what I forgot the cake at the bakeshop.
And instead I rushed to order a doughnut for him since I forgot the cake and it will be delivered later at night. Then first I cleaned the entire house especially the living area and the kitchen. Then I started cooking everything.
The first one I make is for the lumpia. I ground the chicken meat myself and add some vegetables one piece of chayote carrot, potato and the spices which is the garlic and onions with my personal capsule blender. Then fried it and wrap it with a lumpia wrapper.
Then my husband called me he will be heading home together with his troops. So I stand up and do the decorations as fast as I can. I blow the balloons by myself using the air in my mouth. And I just finish it in just 5 minutes with so much sweat all over my body hahaha.
Since my husband is already here I instruct him to cook everything. He cook first the chicken adobo. Then the pancit Canton with glass noodle and lastly the lumpia so it will be crispy to eat.
I also ordered some fruits like watermelon and mango because it's my kids favorite. And I made chili garlic because it is my husband's favorite as an appetizer.
And here's the flex of 12 lovely doughnuts. It was delivered around 8pm and it is fine since I ordered it at 4pm.
When everything is done. We took pictures. A family picture and together with his troops. Our outfit is kind of kiddy thing but this is his spirit animal which is the cow. For me he is a strong person like a cow he could stand on the hot of the sun like his job rain or shine on the field to deliver his tasks. Like a cow he is strong in the eyes of lots of people but he is also vulnerable. He is also weak especially when he has a duty of total 20 hours a day in the field or office. And it was blue because it defines masculinity and it was his favorite color before but today is favorite color is everything hahaha. You know getting older has less favorite and will stick to what is available.
He is not a perfect husband and he has lots of red flags but my kids loved him so much. And it would be a best view for me seeing them together and happy. Every birthday of him, I always make an effort to show how much I love him. What I always wish for him is that he can change his mindset. I don't like his mindset of getting rich. I don't want to be rich but I just want to afford things that we need.
They have a long shots with his favorite beer together with his troops and I asked him before we sleep that "are you happy? And he said " Thank you mang" And I realized I am successful in making him having a beautiful birthday worth to remember.
